First of all, Kite is pretty damn cool! Second, this arc might give me Myrmecophobia! (Yes I had to look up "fear of ants".) And third, methinks this queen is gonna be one nasty bitch!

You have no idea 🙈 the Ants will be getting creepier and creepier 😜😳

Irimu

You should watch Monogatari sometime. Araragi could explain to you exactly why having friends could make you weaker as a Human.

The queen is hot... like man im just wondering what or who wouldn't you hit the sheets with? it will be an interesting adventure to see where the limit of who you wouldent bang is.

Tpoints

AND SO IT BEGINS (although a bit slowly at first)

Brother E

Remember the hype for Pain Arc. Ok...now multiply that by 2 & you get this arc

Anonymous

Yea Kite is basically supposed to be to Ging what Killua is to Gon, but you probably already figured that out.

Anonymous

finally we are there

It's weird because to me the Yorknew arc was more hype. For me this arc is so good more because of its incredible character development and complexity of storytelling and themes. It's the type of arc you could literally right an essay about just because of its sheer artistic value

King Black

Your saying Gings name wrong there's 2 ways of saying his name and your picking the wrong one not a big deal just thought you should know

Gigamac24

alright curtis, its about to get 17+

Whoa hxh on a monday? Curtis really delivering these vids like it's Christmas. Now that the greed island arc is over, have you considered making a video on what 3 cards you would take/use? There's a wiki with a full list of the cards and descriptions. Would be pretty cool to see what you'd pick.

Scryehard

Finally. I found Greed Island to be insanely boring (aside from the ball game), but this arc is absolutely brutal and amazing. Can't wait.

I love kite! One of my fav characters in HxH!

The Muddler

You should watch episode 1 of hunter x hunter 1999 for more background on kite.

Scryehard

"Those are some serious ants" You've no idea, man.

I just want him to watch the toothbrush scene from nisemonogatari. The most glorious thing ever animated and the single best scene in all of anime.

Tyler

You know, I've actually only watched a couple episodes into this arc because of just how brutal certain things were that I needed a break. Looking forward to starting it again.

Phillip Ribbink

Obviously they've changed it from the Manga. But I remember Kite being the one who told Gon about Ging being a Hunter and still being alive. In basically what was the first chapter of the Manga. While the later reveal doesn't really take much away, it is a little jarring knowing that.

Chris D. Jones

It was no one’s fault but the show left out important details in the beginning. Looking at this episode Kite is to Gon what Shanks is to Luffy. He is the embodiment of what a hunter is. The very first episode was supposed to show this but the creator of hunter x hunter hadn’t fully finished writing this arc yet and the producer of the show weren’t sure if they were going to get this far in the story. That whole flashback was supposed to be in the first episode but was cut out. Which makes sense cause if they didn’t make it to this arc it would had been an unanswered question. IMO if they had put it in then that scene where they reconnect would be ten times better. Just some random info about the character.

Very cool! Poignant for me, too, because a large part of the reason I'm so excited to watch One Piece is because of the awesome clips I saw of Shanks and Luffy.

I'm too hyped for this arc

Anonymous

So a good point to state at the start of this arc, this arc has a good amount of narration , which a decent amount of the fanbase hated , however I personally didn't mind the narration at all , I think judging from Curtis' general tastes, he won't mind the narration as it explains everything and leaves no rooms for doubts, but also gives a nice atmosphere

Liesmith

I think it's funny for Ging to say "It's common sense to..." when he didn't teach Gon shit, and Gon's ignorance is entirely Ging's fault.

intuition is real by the way o.O from recent research lol.

THE GOOSH!
>>16527135

It entirely depends on how you're specifically defining intuition. If you're saying it's a function of the subconscious mind, putting together pieces of information previously culled to make a strong educated guess as to what's coming next, then yes, intuition is real. The manner to which I was referring is when people believe that they have the ability to predict the future, sans all prior experiences, utilizing some next level ability for knowing what is going to happen because they have a "gift" or some silly nonsense like that.

SlickRob

That reasoning Ging gave for sending Gon to Kite is reason #10 of why he's a terrible dad.

Charlie

Sup Curtis. Really enjoying the reactions my man

Thanks a lot, Charlie! I'm glad you're a Goosher, and I hope you're having a great time here! :-)

Yeah, when I first saw that one fight, I was like "What's with all the narration?". It made it kinda boring for me at first but I got into it eventually.

Heisenberg101

'Queen is hot' i don't know what else i was expecting him to say lol

Anonymous

Yea, Curtis i think that "excuse" Ging gave to his buddy about Gon was just that, an excuse. Given his reaction to how his buddy gave a different reason i think we already know why.

Zhalterrix

Ging is pronounced more like 'Jing'.

Caffeinated King

Ging is an odd one, people would be right to be annoyed at the ways he treats his son. However I think Ging & Gon are incredibly similar and Ging somehow predicted that this would be the case. I get the suspicion that Ging has more or less laid out Gon's path in the ways that he himself would want to have been treated or trained when he was growing up. It often feels like Gon is an experiment to me, what that means or to what ends? I have no idea but it's something I've been considering for a long time watching HxH.

Vega

get ready for one of the greatest arcs in all of anime...also a real gut punch

DxShadow
>>16539241

Weird, i thought this was the worst in hxh lol... i fell off it whrn i first watched it

Vega

First time I watched it I thought York new was better. But, while very long winded at times, the chimera ant arc is genius. The ant king is one of the best villains in anime.

Vega

Not really

Jacob Schreiber
>>16556528

talking about a character that hasn’t been introduced and the pacing of an ark he was 2 episodes into is a spoiler lol

Tony Gilbert King

Just realized that the next arc is practically half the anime
