The end of a Journey, and what a amazing Journey it was

Brother E

The sad thing is not the moment you finish a series, it is when you realize that you will NEVER be able to watch it a first time again ever in your life.

Joey Visser

Also, Ed is the spitting image of his dad. he only needs a beard

Aidan

I'm glad non of the chimera died I really liked them and for sure though one was going to die. So I'm glad for that and yeah what an amazing journey it was

Ever since I started watching anime I thought of "how nice would it be to forget temporarily about a series so I can watch it for the first time" :P

Anonymous

Hey, don't forget to react to Devil is a part timer!

Dustin Taylor

You better do the bloopers tomorrow cause they are hilarious!!!!!

SuperiorSpiderBoy

Holy hell watching it with you this is the first time I noticed Winry and Ed end up having kids??? And the grown up mei is cool too. Never noticed that.

Morgan

Such an amazing series!! I think the relationship between Ed and Winry was really well done. Al and Mei too! Can't wait to see the blooper reaction.

Kree

This is the most well balanced anime series there is I feel. It was great fun watching it all over again with you.

Anna Lena Ciplajevs

Did you notice how much Ed looks like Hohenheim in the end there? I can’t get over that :) I know you’ve already filmed the blooper-video but I really recommend you check out the ovas! Especially teachers and Roy's. And the 4-kooma Theater shorts too! Tbh I just don’t want fmab to be over yet :) thank you so much for reacting to this awesome series

Diego

are you going to react to the fullmetal brotherhood bloopers?

Ya boring

You should watch the first series and compare them.

Matsumoto Erkin

One more thing to notice is that ,at the end the white coat Winry is wearing at the train station is actually the same one that Ed was wearing in the begining of the episode when Al and Ed first got home

Anonymous

I don’t know if you read manga or not, but the FMA manga expands on a few things! Episode 30 of FMAB is a whole volume in the manga, and it’s so chilling to see Mustang, Hawkeye, Hughes, and Armstrong do horrible things in wartime.

invo

Even though Ed "hated" his father, he became a traveler exactly like hes dad. Such a great show!

Soulley
>>16787684

I thought one of them was for sure giong to die. The lions speach to Al when fighting pride and kimblee is 1 of my favorite scenes in the anime

Anonymous

Anyone told him about the bonus manga chapter that completes the journey or Al's armor?

Soulley

Lol the cycle continues. The show ends, i get sad and rewatch again. Rinse and repeat. 😅

Sheriff Uchiha

Will he be reacting to the Sacred Star of Milos movie?

Schmul Sjifris

As far as"more" goes there is a short comic a few years into the future the author made? And also, its no continuation but there's always the 2003 series :) Watching this with you made me feel and realize how greatly this really tied up the series and made me feel the great journey Ive been on with this show. I might never have actually felt this before from this series like this time, when I first finished it I read part by part and then you grow so used to everything about it being the way it is and what it is. But yeah, this really was a really great series and I could really feel it this time around :)

Anonymous

Voice acting bloopers when?

THE GOOSH!
>>16788134

If you guys want Fate Zero, we'll be having polls soon as to what to watch at the $5 level. The $1 level is already booked for quite some time.

Ansley

Don't forget bloopers! I haven't even watched your video yet but i just wanted to make sure to remind you lmao

Acoleyte

me realizing this show started airing 9 years ago

Anonymous
>>16787904

In the manga when it shows that picture xiao mei is a full grown panda

Anonymous

I’ll never stop rewatching fmab because it is so deep tha every time I watch it again I notice something I haven’t noticed before

Anonymous

I actually have never seen this series before you started watching so thank you for getting me into it. I still would have to say Scar, Al, Mustang are my favorites. Oh and btw in the thumbnail al looks like hokage naruto from the back which is pretty cool in my book.

Anonymous

ED FINALLY DICKED WINRY DOWN THAT'S MY BOY

Zhalterrix

Scar was almost smiling? No, that was a full smile there.

ryan ecker

Only one thing left to do."Let's bring Mom back."

Zhalterrix

Best anime out there. It's all downhill from here. Sorry, Curtis.

Nick

The fact there is no sequel makes its legacy even better. The author set out to tell an amazing story and did it in only 64 episodes. Legendary

Anonymous

Full metal is a masterpiece!

Anonymous

React to attack on titan, death note or one punch man... after super of course..lol

Anonymous

I’m sure everyone noticed but nobody mentioned it. I really like how Ed is tall now and I also like that he’s taller then Winry bc she doesn’t like short guys

Polygon

"I think we should try and bring mom back"

Sean D

Why is it that when I rawatched it with you, the ending saw more poignant for me?

Anonymous

Now onto watching the bloopers ;)

Anonymous

Now that you’ve finished the series, who would you say are your favorite characters? My favorites are Hohenheim, King Bradley and Olivier Armstrong.

Scryehard

Bloopers, bloopers!

Anonymous

That ending quote is my single favorite quote of all time.

Scryehard

I freaking love how Ed is wearing Hohenheim's jacket.

Scryehard

The only thing I dislike about the ending is that Ed leaves his children behind when he goes traveling.

Connor Brennan
>>16794563

Probably only when they're too young to go with him. I doubt that he does all his traveling alone.

Anonymous

Imho, this is the best show ever created, and I'm thrilled to have enjoyed it once again along with you, Curtis! Been a few years since I last watched it, so it was enjoyable

BeissZang

curtis u also have naruto shirts?`and btw will u continue with Boruto when u finish ur next chosen Anime 1$ petreon series?

Anonymous

I still remember when Yt was building hype for Pain for you when you were watching Naruto :D

Cetacean Needed

Some fun information: the final chapter and the final episode were released the same day. Arakawa had worked with the anime producers to have both ready at the same time. The original VA for Al in the '03 anime came back as young Hohenheim. Additionally, the way they get the sound for Al's voice is by doing their lines with a bowl on the head. The VA for Ed was often not shown the script ahead of time so that the reactions could be more genuine. So when Ed finds out what's on the other side of the gate of truth, after the stuff with Shou Tucker, and a lot of stuff toward the end are Vic's actual reactions.

Anonymous

For me...the moment that hit hard, a lesson that stuck with Ed and Al through the whole series, and is meme'd a lot is Nina Tuckers transformation into a Chimera and following death. It is always something to re-watch that moment, when Ed realizes everything. There is just the look of shock in his eyes, and immediate anger. For me its a question was he really mad at Tucker, or more so at himself for not realizing it. I always felt like Ed was more mad at his inability to save her, over what her father had done to her.

Ghost Tendency
>>16794241

Yes, the bloopers are amazing! Just the icing on the cake to the perfection that is Brotherhood. Funny enough, Brotherhood is one of the only anime series I've ever bought. (Mainly just watch off Crunchyroll.) I just felt it was too good not to own in its entirety.

Peter Milligan

There is also a series of OVA shorts which is fun.

Subaru130

Fun fact: Mustang using the Philosopher's Stone to heal Havoc is actually something added to the anime. While the picture of him at the end of the anime shows him standing perfectly fine with Rebecca and Breda, the picture shown in the original manga was actually of him going through physical therapy and recovering the old fashioned way.

Jamir Dixon

Before Chimera Ant arc: These ants are fodder, they probably aren't even Phantom Troupe level. After episode 85: RRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Master Gamataifu
>>16795868

If I remember right, Curtis won't watch any ongoing anime. So Boruto is not an option for reactions until it ends or reaches a hiatus.

Anonymous

I wish you had watched the 2003 version instead much better no sappy ending.

Master Gamataifu
>>16793994

Mine are Hohenheim, Scar, and Kimblee. But actually, I love all the characters except Tucker and the Gold-Toothed Doctor (for obvious reasons).

Master Gamataifu

FMAB is almost perfection. I think the pacing is a bit too fast, there are not enough filler moments to help build our attachment to the characters, and the post credit scenes were an awful idea. But here I'm just being picky cos it's still an amazing series. Seriously though, post credit scenes are a terrible idea and should never be used in an anime ever again. FMAB❤

Caffeinated King

My thought is that Ed was so small because he was sustaining both his own body and Al's body within the gate of truth for all those years. So while he had some growth during the series (Due to switching to the lighter automail apparently), it's not until Al has his body back where Ed suddenly skyrockets in height at the end which I think is pretty great and symbolic of the burden he carried during the series, because of their mistake. I also appreciate how much Ed looks like Hohenheim as well, almost as if he has started wearing his dad's old clothes.

Tyler

I always love the moment where Winry calls equivalent exchange nonsense, and Ed says, "What'd you say?!" Hahaha, the way he says it makes me think he's about to say, "I'll fucking fight you bro!"

Anonymous

If you want more FMA, there's a couple extra episodes (like "Teacher's First Love" and "The Blind Alchemist") that aren't part of the main plot, but are great side stories to watch!.

Liesmith

"Men who just sit around doing nothing are boring." I feel personally attacked.

Daniel Gonzalez

From start to finish FMAB is one of my favorite stories ever with probably in my opinion one of the best endings ever we lost some friends and close allies but the elrics got the ending they fought for and deserved anything less after everything they went through wouldve sucked also I wonder how eds fighting style changed after losing his alchemy because no way he's not getting into trouble on his travels oh right his leg is still automail bet he got tricked out

Jojoekage

"i guess he rubbed off on me after all" Thats what he said

Jojoekage

"men who just sit around doing nothing are boring" Way to diss our entire fanbase :D and Curtis

Anonymous

Actually consider Ed's last words about sacrafice and then combine those words with Pains from Naruto. In essence the only reason Ed can make a joke of it is he got a happily ever after. Interesting that their words are similar but because of the outcome of both characters different idealogies are born. Makes you wonder what type of person Ed would have become is he didnt get Alphonse back just like Nagato lost Yahiko.

Enzo Grano

Will you react to the outtakes? :D

Anonymous

The way they finished everyone's storylines are epic, especially with Scar going to Briggs, great emding

My favorite quote is, “I understand why you think you have an advantage over a man like me since I possess neither your impenetrable ultimate shield nor an ultimate spear that can pierce any substance... but I’ll tell you a secret... do you know how I manage to distinguish myself amongst the storms of bullets on the battlefield time after time? To rise to my current position?”

Anonymous

if you remember the first episode the freezing alchemist was trying to destroy central and the establishment with lines like "you don't understand". So its more than likely he somehow knew about all the corruption and evil, and his character was a little crazy to throw you off that trail of actually believing him. (I'd also like to add at the end mustang had 4 badges on his shoulder in the photograph which is the rank of fuhrer woohoo)

Anonymous

Ed really looks like his dad in the end with the trench coat and hair lol

Liam D

Thanks curtis for taking us on this ride once again. FMA:B will always be one of my favorite series and it is one of the best stories ever told. Naruto into fma! Its been a blast!

Anonymous

I am fully in line with your ideas about this being the 'perfect' series. Throughout all the mangas I've read and animes I have watched, this series and the manga that it was based on have always remained my favourite. The way this anime was produced, it felt like everything seemlessly coming together. In fact, the final 64th episode of the anime pretty much coincided with the final 108th chapter of the manga (and keep in mind that the manga was a monthly one). Like a human being, this series is always in motion. There is not a single wasted episode. Nearly every scene teaches you something new about the characters or the world they inhabit. From the mangaka, from the publishers, from the animators and from the voice actors, this series has been nothing but the purest labour of love, and it shows. I do not believe in perfection, but this is definitely as close to it as us lowly humans can get.

>>16798406

lol, just no. FMAB's ending is pretty good, because it tied up everything that have been proposed since the beginning -like Ed discovering about the two portals connected and etc. Moreover, FMAB villains and characters in general are far way better developed imo, as well as the story. The only thing 2003 version made as great as FMAB or even better is the soundtrack, but I really like both of them. Just because is a ''''''happy'''''' ending it is unoriginal? Fuck off

SleepySnorlax

What is your opening because it looks creepy

Nate D.

do you have a schwingggggggggg tshirt yet?

EnderWiggin

A heart made fullmetal *cries*. So good.

Rixadzin

I hope you will react to either (or hopefully both) Seven Deadly Sins or Death Note. Both are great animes imo (Death Note being one of my all time favorites)

Anthony Corvello

Thanks again Curtis. You’ve made this another awesome experience for me. Take care, sir. 👍🙂

Matthew Budgell

This was a blast. Thank you Curtis. I never would have watched this show had you not reacted to it. I've been putting off watching it for years and I feel somewhat stupid for doing that considering all of the anime I've watched that doesn't hold a candle to this series. It was a good experience watching the episode and then watching your reaction to every episode. I was able to soak up any info I missed during the first viewing with your reactions. It also prolonged the great experience. I'm sad it's now over.

Matthew Budgell

And on a side note, that's a fucking great t-shirt you're rocking there.

Zachary Provenzano

Love this anime found it funny when they said "men who sit around and do nothing are boring." as we watch this series sitting down. Haha

Stephen
