IMO if Pitou were to find out the KIng is dead, she still would try to protect Komigi. Youpi wouldnt care and Pouf hates her. But Pitou is the only one who has seen how much the King loves Komugi. Remember when Pitou was crying just because the Kind told her to heal Komugi. Hes never shown so much emotion. Just my thoughts on this.

The Royal Guard are honestly more dangerous than the King could ever be. As most of them never developed the regard for human life that he did. Without the King to keep them in check there will be blood. There will be rivers of it.

Doesnt mean they will never develop a regard for human life. After all, they are part human themselves. Remember when Youpi spared the lifes of shoot, Morel and Knuckle ? A lot of people tent to forget that the royal guards are not just monsters. They are part human with potential for growth and evolution.
