Soma's old man is a great character, and you'll get to know more as the story continues. How are you finding this anime so far Curtis it's definitely different from most shounen animes.

So I’m no spoiler but Somas father has a really good story. Honestly i feel like you’ll love it and feel bad, to bad you won’t find out until season 4. As for Erina she is not Somas sister so he can go get some from her.

Now that I think about it his Dad's been training Soma for food wars his whole life. I mean the first episode is literally them using the same (if somewhat informal) format in their family diner.

So after rewatching this I just realised Ging and Soma's dad have the same voice actor, probably why they remind me so much of each other

I was actually going to ask what he thought about soma’s dad vs Ging, just raw thoughts without even realizing that it was the same VA. Thanks for pointing that out, though I may have a hard time unhearing that. lol.
