I think the word your looking for is grounded more than basic. Alot of these stories can happen in real life whether its in the past of Japan or gang wars closer to the future.

Yeah that's Hara Kiri or Seppuku (both words literally mean belly cutting). Also i love how Fuu (who has probably never thrown dice in her life) ends up becoming the ultimate dice thrower her first time around. She may have a promising career in it if finding the Sunflower Samurai doesn't work out for her.

Both seppuku and harakiri are the same thing; they refer to death by disembowelment, and literally mean 'stomach cutting'.
