Brother E

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SET SAIL TO THE ONE PIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miklar Sihn

The first day of your next 3 years of content

Anonymous

It's a bit of a slow start but give it 20-30 episodes and it starts getting really good. I hope you enjoy Curtis.

Yousef khanagha

hey Curtis, how long do you plan on watching one piece before you go on a short break from it?

Miklar Sihn

It is worth rewatching the start just to see what luffy went through in that barrel

Anonymous

768 canon episodes, wow. Rather impressed that One Piece never truly goes into filler hell. Like certain other series. So at 6 episodes a week, that is...nearly 130 weeks to finish total. Going to be one hell of a ride though.

Anonymous

I've never seen One Piece before, but I'm along for the journey with you! Luffy reminds me of a young Goku with his powers, nonchalant attitude, and love for food!

THE GOOSH!
>>20389867

Of course, I just started, but I'm really liking his constant grin and his lack of a filter. :-D

Miklar Sihn

You just have to love how honest luffy is with others and himself, it is just such a cool character trait and it is one of the things that makes him different from other protagonists. That is pretty much all he has done in the first episode, shown how he is not your average anime protagonist.

Magnus Bergersen

It's finally here, i can't wait to rewatch my favorite anime with you.

Brother E

Get hyped for Episode 4.

Ryan McKeon

Ready for the One Piece journey with the gang!

THE GOOSH!
>>20390084

Couldn't agree more! I absolutely love that lack of a filter! And even when he was telling Coby he hated him, it wasn't even malicious, just his feelings at the moment. :-D

Miklar Sihn
>>20389767

It isn't really that impressive, what they do is to add a ton of filler in the episodes, making things far longer than they need to. And on the other hand, one of the best arcs in the series is a filler arc.

MarvelKnight101

It was everything I could hope it was I’m so glad we got episode one done I can’t wait to continue this journey with you guys too !! I’ve been waiting for you to do one piece ever since you started watching anime and we have finally started!!! One question tho, are you gonna do One Piece every day except for Sunday or are you gonna do it every other day? Just curious

Anonymous

Damn this is so nostalgic, I really love the old art so much! Will you be making full reactions of One Piece too in the future?

Mighty Snake

Man this really does bring back memories of when I first started this almost two decades ago

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂

And now that we set sail, I've transcended the realm of the eagles and become a true goosher! Much love Curtis, thisa gonna be gud!

Dandy

Let's set sail!

Cetacean Needed

One episode down, 874 to go (currently). This is one of those series where I like both the sub and dub voices. I'm just glad that Funimation got to do the dub and not some other dubbing company. Can you imagine if a shitty company had gotten to it first? Good thing that *never happened*.

Darkslifer#27

We finally reach one piece! Now wheres my other 999 episodes of one piece per day

Anonymous

Wait Curtis are you gonna watch only one episode a day?

Anonymous

you should watch the 2 hour specials. there is one that covers episodes 1-61. they do a good job.

Anonymous

Well Curtis at this point in the series it hasn’t been established that Blades and Swords are a big weakness against a Rubber person so that was one of the rare cases of Luffy taking a sword and not being cut.

Aidan

Nurufufufu somebody rember this day so we can see how long it will take curtis to catch up he only has 874 episodes to go.

Jyiber

Dude get ready. It's a long trip, but it gets consistently better with every episode...

Ali6B

Always wanted Curtis to react to One Piece back when he was doing dbza and Dbz clips! This will be good

Chris Peacock

Oh joy... I’ll see you for Yu Yu. Not into One Piece at all, but hope you enjoy. I’d never begrudge it for others.

Anonymous

Another long but really great journy with you my friend. A quick question, will you skip the fillers cus its a really long series?

Anonymous

Yeah man Luffy is hilarious, there's gonna be a ton of funny moments with these characters xD

THE GOOSH!
>>20395519

I'm not sure yet. A lot of people have been telling me that, unlike Naruto, the filler in here is really good. :-)

THE GOOSH!
>>20395430

No problem, My Friend... Dbs is rapidly winding down, so we'll be on to Yu Yu in just a few days. :-)

Brandon Nowakowski

You're gonna have a lot of fun with this, Curtis. There are times where there's a lot of filler though, so skipping that would serve to both make the series more manageable (there are 800+ episodes currently and it's still airing) and make it so you only have to see the good stuff. This site has an easy quick-reference filler list on it. Here's the page for One Piece. You'll be fine until episode 50, but it's just something to keep in your back pocket. https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/one-piece

Colin

So I know you’ll be taking breaks to watch other shows in between arcs, are those only short breaks or will you be able to fit a 100 episode show in there? Also, is the old $10 dollar tier (the one with food wars) still only titty anime?

THE GOOSH!
>>20396287

No, everything is at $5 now, even any titty anime’s we do... We wouldn't be looking for 100 episode series for the breaks; much shorter ones. The longer series can be voted in at either of the other 2 slots, though. 😊

THE GOOSH!
>>20395710

We haven’t decided yet if we’re skipping filler. Unlike Naruto, a lot of people have said they enjoy OP filler.

Tyler

I'm just thinking of how insanely long this series has gotten. I think it's at over 3 years worth (for six or so episodes a week) right now. Those breaks will be nice.

CrossZ

I love the japanese voice for Luffy, but it's weird watching this right after DBS since Luffy and Krillin have the same voice actor Also this is really nostalgic. I watched this in middle school, and marathoned the manga in high school to catch up. It's gonna be fun to go through this again

V_VMat
>>20392283

So you have been watching almost right from the start? DAMN!

Harry Jones

Don't mind me, just commenting so that I can say I was here at the start.

V_VMat

I'm going to be part of this journey for as long as possibly!

Anonymous

This is going to be a wild long ride XD.

boumka

Don't forget this " Cause' im rubber " quote. ;)

Johnny Kiehn

Lmao holy shit... remember when One Piece episodes had ending themes?

Anonymous

It’s finally here bois 😢

Tony Gilbert King

Yes yes yes love this cant wait to see more😁😁😁

Shades

Well i guess its finally time for me to start watching OP

Jamie Gordon

OH NO!!! Welp there goes the rest of your life. Good luck watching the whole thing episode #875 just came out today! LOL Love this series!

Dia Rbeid

Oh boy I'll probably be out of college by the time this series end, it's gonna be a hell of a ride

Chris

Oda's artstyle is great, I'm glad you enjoy it

Jojoekage
>>20400110

Idiots:"One piece is just too long to watch" Badass:"Who decided this ?"

Meelog Malterion
>>20404522

he watched Naruto which is 200 episodes and Naruto shippuden which is like 500 episodes and that didnt take all that long either once Curtis Catches up itll be a matter of watching one episode every time it comes out in real time

Brandon Nowakowski
>>20406498

By my calculations, assuming 6 episodes a week (since Sundays are off) 50 weeks a year (accounting for vacation/random stuff happening), we're looking at 300 episodes a year, which, taking in to account that the series is still ongoing, will be 3+ YEARS before he's caught up.

Anonymous

Watching this a 2nd time. Nami been my favorite character since years ago. You will definitely like her

V_VMat
>>20415205

There are two big (and growing) reasons why he already likes her ;D

Johnny Kiehn

What's crazy is that by the time Curtis catches up, One Piece might even be in it's final arc! The hype will be so real!!

Anonymous

Im sure people might have told you already, but skip openings and titles. From the Arlong Park arc onwards, the episode titles that appear can contain major spoilers for what happens in the episode, so avoid them as much as possible, Just look away when you hear the little jingle that highlights the episode titles appearance. Also, skip the openings. From openings 3 onwards, they contain major spoilers for the arc and should not be watched. You can go back and watch them later, or listen to the music and avoid the visuals, but if you care about spoilers (which you definitely dont want to find out for a show like One Piece) then try to skip them. Openings 1-7 are 1:30m and Openings 8-21 are 2:30m

Ya boring

Personally I think one pieces writing is on par, if not better than HxH. You're in for an amazing experience

grant pflum

Was the Ruffi thing a Freudian slip or does Curtis really not know the name is Luffy?

Garlic

Ive always steered away from OP because the art style was weird and toonami and episode order didnt really mesh but i guess it time huh.

Jake Young

Not sure if you noticed Curtis, but Luffy has the same voice in Japanese as Krillin. It always throws me off haha.

Anonymous

Gonna rewatch a few of your One Piece reactions since it's a Sunday lol

Glitter

Take note, Curtis! Almost every single character returns in One Piece, and almost all of them are memoriable. Every single person save for select few are original, and not just black outlines or the same figures over and over. IT's one of the things I LOVE about One Piece!

Too bad the vimeo account got striked...
