Early impressions are that I like Usopp! Particularly with the way he looks after the sad rich girl... Could that relationship end up providing the burgeoning crew with a better boat? Plus, who the Hell is the guy at the end with the Steven Tyler look?!

I don't necessarily think it's that the beginning of One Piece is slow, moreso that the beginning is much smaller, in terms of effect to the One Piece world, than the huge, world-defining events the come later

The pacing of the anime is always slow, the east blue saga isn't really slow in the manga.

It's weird watching all these early episodes after watching the None Piece Parody so many times.

That guy at the end is clearly Michael Jackson, since he walked backwards.

You might not have remembered at the moment but when Luffy said "Now that you've drawn your pistol, put your life on the line " was a direct reference to Shanks line when Luffy was a kid. When those bandits held a gun to Shanks's head. Epic.

We are moving along nicely! Great episode!! Klahadore, doucebag Butler is here!! How will the “great” Usopp lie his way out of this??

Day 8 of my oath: I a 21 year old man do solemnly swear to mention how many episode we are away from catching up to one piece on every single episode that Curtis reacts to and I do not care how long that takes. And on that note: We are 866 episodes away from catching up. Remember when I

It's nice to see the future GOD.

I love that right from the start Luffy and Usopp have a connection

Lance Zehnder

Love how a lot of Usopp's lies end up coming true.

If you think these are cliff hangers i cant wait until you catch up to where the anime is now

Zorros evil smirk gives me life.

Fun fact: "Usopp" is a pun. His name basically means "liar" in Japanese.
