I like the fact that Yusuke and Kuwabara have these allies even though 3-Eyed Dwarf isn't too trustworthy. In any event, they better figure a solution out of this "pressing" situation right away!

Fun fact curtis hiei(the the 3 eye guy) was the inspiration kishimoto had for creating sasuke uchiha

Jorge

Hiei and Kurama are basically doing community service for their crime.

Freddy Jimenez

Hiei is also voiced by Android 17 Probably someone else mentioned it already but just in case here you go

Indeed. I often see people calling Sasuke a Kurapika 2.0, but aside from his backstory and red eyes he has a lot more in common with Hiei.

Mr.Host

I forgot how much I love the four of these guys. Also Boton is just stupid attractive, in both personality and looks. I remember why she was my first anime crush.

That moment when you'd rather go to the demon world than face your angry girlfriend

I love your name for Hiei! 3 eyed dwarf... tee hee.

Blue

Now that the 4 main characters are together now they can be compared to the group in HxH. Yusuke=Gon, Hiei=Killua, Kurama=Kurapika, and Kuwabara=Leorio. I enjoy the HxH group, but I think the Yuyu Hakusho group is a lot more enjoyable.

Izanagi

The squad finally fully assembles! The banter between Hiei and Kuwabara is top notch. Lmao

Serra Lear

Definitely my favorite out of all of Botan's outfits, followed closely by her original kimono. Bonus points for her also carrying a bat around with it lol

Phillip Ribbink

I know we get a lot of comments comparing Yu Yu to HxH but is it me? Or does the fortress remind anyone else of the Tower Gon and the others had to go through in the Hunter Exam? Also like Curtis said the Gate of Betrayal (cool name by the way, I may want to steal that for a D&D game) is one of the cooler ideas in the early Anime. Kind of shows you even early on the author was thinking up cool death traps and tests like the ones that'd be used in Hunter x Hunter.

XD " I feel something... not human around us " Q sound of the train. The timing of that train was perfect to be what he was feeling, if only you could change one word of his line.

To me this is better then Hunter x Hunter. Even when I have seen part of this, I still enjoy it more & want to even see the parts I have seen again. I was never that interested in HxH. Yet I wonder what else they made if any other shows.

they all have hidden powers. Stuff that will not be part of the calculations of how strong to make the wall. I think any one power could tip the system. So I would think they will find a way to work as a team. The wall is only as strong as they are. Powers like the gun & sword really are not part of how strong they are.

I last watched yuyu when it was on adult swim years ago. Since then ive watched hxh no less than 5-6 times through. Its interesting to rewatch and see how similar it feels in tone, characters and "out thinking" your opponent rather than out powering them. Using your powers creatively instead of just "believing in yourself".

I think Hunter x Hunter has the potential to be better but I really like endings and since it's not finished yet it isn't better imo. There's too many plot points that haven't been wrapped up

Rei

now is this a perfect team or what :D yes they are

The gun and sword are directly tied to their own spirit energy so all that is taken into account

Miklar Sihn

They seem like they are kinda... Under Pressure.*Music commences*

It is worth mentioning that Hiei/Dwarf/Three-eyes pretty much has vegeta hair.
