I am enjoying the characters in Avatar a LOT! I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but the personalities and relationships are more fun and engaging than I thought they would be! :-)

doubt it will happen but I would love curtis to watch young justice.

It's nice to see you re-evaluating your opinion of Zuko a little bit. He's definitely not a nice guy, but as you said, there's definitely more going on there than it first seems. It's a common theme in the series, actually. You're in for a good time.

Acoleyte

i honestly just cant wait for cactus juice

One of the best things to remember in this series is all 4 types of bending in this series are based off of traditional martial arts styles from the country the nation's are based off of. Also an interesting point is that the voice actor for Prince Zuko(black eye as Curtis calls him) is the one who played Rufio(Peter's replacement) in the 90s movie Hook

Gigamac24

Yeah Uncle Iroh is one of those characters no one dislikes. Really cool dude and brings a lot of comedy and psychological factors to the show.

Lewd Angel

Zuko is definitely a layered character, im glad you're starting to look at him in a different way. Also i so called you liking Iroh (old grandpa general) i think you're gonna like him even more as time goes on

Miklar Sihn

They had martial arts consultants for this show and every bending style has a martial art that is connected to it.

Gotta love Momo's food offering to placate the guy that was trying to eat him.

SilversLyfe

What about calling Zuko: Scar, or scar guy for now. Black eye just sounds like “black guy” every time you say it

Koala Banana

Loving these reactions, glad you're liking the series!

Ali6B

Avatar is great at characterisation of it's main cast while still being a fun time.

Uncle Iroh is a fucking badass and outside Sokka and Toph I feel he's one if the funniest characters. Just my opinion.

God, That music brings back memories

The Gimpster 101

Get used to the brain damaged old man saying "I really like Iroh"

Rules of Avatar to avoid ass kicking 1: Don’t fuck with Zuko with Iroh around 2: Don’t fuck with Iroh Easy to follow

You will learn more info in the future that makes the amount of firebenders that died killing all the airbenders, that will make the airbenders look even more impressive

Middleman850

I don’t know if you realized but Zuko’s Voice actor is Rufio from the movie Hook

Straight White Male

Momo means peach in Japanese. Momo took Sokka's peach from him that's why Aang calls him Momo.

Miasimon

“There are three things all wise men fear: The sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.” ~Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man's Fear. And I think you'll have a hard time finding a more gentle man than Aang.

Miasimon

It's not often that you can say a fight scene in a show is beautiful.. but just about every fight in this show is a work of art.

Batman's Pet Goldfish

Last episode reminded me of how much I love Sokka. This episode reminded me of how much I love Iroh.

well at least Aang can take solace in the fact monk gyatso died a badass, look at the army of dead elite firebenders surrounding this one peace loving elderly monk, he probably took their breath away, quite literally lol

About Airbending Curtis: The erratic, circular movements of Airbending are derived from Ba Gua. It is sometimes called Bagua Zhang's, a characteristic method of stance and movement based on the theory of continuously changing in response to the situation at hand in order to overcome an opponent with skill rather than brute force. It is more broadly grouped as an internal practice. Airbending is notable for being almost entirely defensive, however it is reputed to be the most dynamic of the four bending arts. Airbenders can overwhelm many opponents at once with large and powerful attacks that could prove fatal; however due to the pacifist nature of the Air Nomads such attacks are rarely used. That's an excerpt from the wiki. I figured you'd like knowing that Airbeinding is based on a real world Martial aRt

I’m really happy you finally got to this curtis. I remember begging you for it 2 years ago i think

I always wanted you to see Iroh in particular. You can probably relate to him.

I know what you mean and it makes total sense. It's a show that's chill to watch, pleasing and relaxing. Despite the action
