Yeah, that was pretty shitty of that old man. Gets saved and returns the favor by tattling 🤣

WhateverIFeelLike

That was George Takei voicing the warden. Also I couldn't help but laugh at your coal bullets comment knowing that it's exactly what Aang does later

Soulley

Idk y the old man ratted, its never explained either. I guess out of fear, but thats still pretty shitty.

The general consensus among the community is that he either did it for a reward/favourable treatment or was a fire nation spy/informant. I've seen some try to make the fear defence i.e he or his family was threatened, but it brings up the issue of no one else being around. With the fire nation having no idea about what happened he would have had to go to them of his own free will

Koala Banana

This has always been one of my least favourite episodes. At first because I wanted Aang to be with Katara so I didn't like Haru.

PKKite

That was George as the commander. They even have Mick Foley as a voice in a episode or 2. Ill let you try to guess when it happens.

Hey Curtis if you are interested there's a short comic called Bee Calm that take's place roughly between episode 6 & 7. I have it uploaded to my miedaifre account. link's here http://www.mediafire.com/file/l76d75xz83v478a/7%2529_Bee_Calm.pdf/file if you want to read it It is collected along with a bunch of other short comics in Avatar The Lost Adventures. But I figured you also wouldn't want to spoil yourself by reading the comics in it ahead of where they take place in the story chronologically. this is my way of letting you enjoy this little extra bit.

I've realised one of the reasons i like Avatar and Samurai Champloo is the little stories with in the bigger picture. There's something about them which just sucks you right into the world they live in.

FrisbeeDude42

Oooooh boy every day we get closer to the main plot points :) Honestly I just can't wait until episode 8, but every episode of avatar has my respect and love. There are just those few episodes that stand out above the rest

SilversLyfe

The warden actually is George takei. And Harus dad is voices by Kevin Michael Richardson. Really big voice actor whose done dozens of shows avatar fans have probably also seen. You probably would recognize him as Captain Bantu from lilo and stitch, or Sebastian from little mermaid

Daniel Salva

Oh, you're going to love the north pole :)

Season one is far more episodic. Especially at the beginning, but, on top of just being fun mini plotlines, they also provide very important world building for later. The only two series I can think of that beat it's world-building are One Piece and Gintama. Season 2 and 3 move on to the multi-episode story-lines you're are more used to with other animes.

Haku

Holy crap i just realized that warden was George Takei.

Straight White Male

Haru's father is voiced by the same guy who voiced Jolee Bindo in Knights of the Old Republic.

AceOfSerberit

wow. 6 episodes and you've already dropped zukos nickname? With that you can really tell how much you enjoy Avatar
