Duke

can't wait.

Dandy

Can't tell you guys how excited I am to watch him react to this everyday lol

THE GOOSH!

The feeling is mutual... I find myself grinning like a mental patient as I click the "play" button every day on these! :-D

Middleman850

That guy in the green cape was actually Kaya. She got a sex change.

Mighty Snake

So now I have to ask are you glad we aren't taking a break?

interested party

dragon is the boss. if you find yourself thinking you are the boss, just know you are wrong

Taking a break would be a huge mistake. this is his favorite anime so far and it gets better every arc,

Jake from SF

Fun fact. This was the very first episode of One Piece that aired on TV in the 21st century.

Anonymous

"going to find out more about him now." oh you wish. get back to us in 2 years.

Anonymous

also if you watch the arc with the dragons that's coming up, just ignore most of it. not only is it kinda trash tier filler(it's no g8 base), it even has some continuity errors that cause issues later on in the series.

CrossZ

Dragon says a lot of cryptic stuff but it'll all make sense in time. Also there's another line thats kind of foreshadowing in this ep, that I didn't notice on my first viewing

Wesley

About the half filler/half cannon episode. Only the second part of that episode is canon (after the commercial bump). The first part is still part of the filler story so it would be pretty confusing to jump into that without context.

J.t. Fowlkes

Ah this brings back so many memories when I first say this episode what an amazing journey hes gonna love it

Duke

curtis, imagine how nostalgic this episode is after 882 anime episodes and 941 manga chapters. They have come so far.

Schmul Sjifris

Okay, its not bad perse, but I gotta disapprove of how the anime handled Smoker here. Did he let Sanji pass for a 1-on-1 duel? Thats very much not like canon Smoker. The random things they added to his character completely changes who the character is... Manga Smoker, and the Smoker going forward from here in the anime, has no respect for strong pirates whatsoever. Correct me if Im wrong on anything. What did happen to Sanji here in the manga?🤔 (I will note Smoker beat his ass, Sanji tried to hit him, went straight through, Smoker blew him away). Also an error, blunt attacks dont work on Luffy so I feel he's being a bit too hurt in a lot of anime scenes... Punches dont do anything to him.

Since Smoker is literally made of Smoke, he can’t be harmed through normal means, bullets, swords and any other physical attack is doomed to fail. So unless Luffy finds some way to counter Devil Fruit powers than he’s no match for Smoker. Their fights are doomed to always lead to Luffy’s defeat or his escape.

And to think that There are still more characters with even more unfairly powerful abilities in the series.

The Muddler

Today a green hired fanboy was born.

V_VMat

Tashigi is spitting image of Kuina (or to be more precise Kuina was the copy, since Tashigi is older) You'll find out more about Dragon much much later.

Manu_C

Oh please skip the filler. They kill the pace of the intended story.

Richie Roberts

No, you won't learn about him until much much later. Enjoy the mystery.

Miklar Sihn

I will go no further than saying that Dragon is one of the names you need to remember.

LordNoLife

Day 52 of my oath: I a 22 year old man do solemnly swear to mention how many episode we are away from catching up to one piece on every single episode that Curtis reacts to and I do not care how long that takes. And on that note: We are 829 away from catching up, ladies and gentleman and the colorful array in between as of today I have officially finished my 3rd year of med school and so starts the four months of dreams where I will do nothing but eat sleep and game ( plus a 4 hour shift at the hospital but that doesn't count so.... screw you).

AceOfSerberit

Luffy got lucky with the wind. Hard to beat up someone you can't touch

btw dragon is voiced by the same guy that voices the third hokage and King bradly from FMA, guess he has a thing for old badass men, but who doesn't

IzzO

Well you have to use the nacys tech agaisnt them :)

IzzO

I will now reviel the identiy of Dragon the mystery man! SPOOOOILERS! This man is Hiruzen Sarutobi the 3rd Hokage! and Bradly King Fuherer from Full Metal Alchemist BrortherHood!

MarvelKnight101

I am so happy! The Grand Line.... HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Johnny Kiehn

Fun fact: 4kids censored the hell out of the smoking aspect of Captain Smoker; they changed his name to Chaser, changed his devil fruit to the "Steam Steam Fruit", and took out his cigar (but never changed the lip flaps, so he constantly had "steam leaking" from his mouth that he never fully closed). Ah poor 4kids...
