The more I thought about it after I watched this episode, the more concerned I became for Kurama. It just seems there was something kinda ominous about that last interaction he and Yusuke had.

I was planning to make a pun, but kurama did it for me.

there's such an odd atmosphere around this arc in general, especially in this episode and the next few, it's a weird calmness to it, I guess Togashi wanted to start trying different things maybe? I mean right after yu yu ended he moved onto working on Level E a comedy series about aliens for a couple of years before starting hunter x hunter

V_VMat

Do you mean Zuko? I don't think that's the same VA. I can be wrong too though...

Moe

Zuko, how could you forget Zuko? His name should be burned into your memory. Burned haha get it burned.... I'll show myself out now.

Ryan Gillatt

The overall theme of this arc is about discovering self-identity, and it shows in a lot of these fights. Even at the beginning of the arc Yusuke struggles with who he is supposed to be, and you see a similar struggle show up in a majority of the other key characters.

Daniel Gonzalez

It did kinda sound like Zuko to me too. Rufio!Rufio!Rufio!

PKKite

One by one Raizens old gang is taking out yuskes dark tournament gang

Phillip Ribbink

Yeah that's not Zuko, Touya's voice actor. Touya's voice actor Daniel Katsuk has mostly done background voices and bit parts for various Anime. Touya is probably the biggest role he's had according to his IMDB page.

GoldArthur

You can really start to see how rushed it is with the last few episodes and this one.

Coco XLarge

Last tournament has no stakes. Don't care about its conclusion one way or the other

Honestly besides the main 4 heros and tuguro, jin is my favorite side character. Lol i know naruto came later but his defeat reminded me of Rock lee vs gaara, passed out but still standing .

SlowFlow

Error Error. Souketsu called Yusuke Raizen's ancestor.

Tyler

Hard to believe there are only five episodes left. Been a long time coming. This is my third or fourth time watching through the series and it will always hold a special place for me.
