One episode in and Bebop is already up there with Samurai Champloo and Gurren Lagann for series that I really liked the "feel" they project! This Space Cowboy is gonna be fascinating! :-)

Freddy Jimenez

I remember watching the show back in high school. My dog “ who died at 19 and 1/2” Used to always howl whenever the harmonica music came on. Watching the show again makes me nostalgic and a bit sad. BTW YES THATS MUGANS VA

THE GOOSH!

Wow! 19 1/2? He lived a great life!... What a great way to feel a connection to him again!... And thanks; I thought that sounded just like Mugen. :-)

Chrome

it's a naturally quiet show, the audio on the blu-ray is pretty quiet as well, the start of the series slowly introduces you to the cast before they get into the plot of the series later, also did you ever decide what you're doing about the film? because it's something you're meant to see before the end of the series around the start of the 20s

LireKlein

The annoucements for the next episode at the end are actually quite funny and don't spoil much. It's just the characters talking with each other about the next episode.

Kyle Bryant

You noticed Spike's voice as Mugen's (Steve Blum), but did you notice that the target, Asimov, has the same voice as Jin (Kirk Thornton)?

Souji

funny you mention samurai champloo, same creator! they both go hand in hand as some of his best work and very similar in feeling

Matt Kelso

The voice of Spike is the legendary Steven Blum, same guy who voices Orochimaru, Ohnoki, Ao, and Zabuza in Naruto, Leeron in Gurren Lagann, Mugen in Samurai Champloo, and many other anime and cartoons! You might also recognize Beau Billingslea, the voice of Jet, as the Raikage from Naruto, and the voice of Matsunosuke from Samurai Champloo! And lastly, Asimov, aka Red Eyes there, is voiced by the legendary Kirk Thornton, who voiced Jin in Samurai Champloo, "Sharkboy" from the Akatsuki, the bridgebuilder, Lord Toad, and many others in Naruto! Also Shinichirō Watanabe (Director of Samurai Champloo Anime), directed this anime as well! This is a great one, you're gonna love it!

The next episode is quite funny.

Dandy

The gritty space vibes, the hardcore gangster scene, the thrilling life of a bounty hunter. If I had to guess, the word you were looking for is Aesthetic, because that's one of the biggest things I love about this show. The characters are relatable, the stories are driving and emotions are real. Can't wait to see you react to episode 18 especially.

V_VMat

She wasn't actually pregnant. She was hiding all the drug vials (or whatever) in her dress. (Or at least that's how I understood the situation)

Anonymous

This is also the same director as Kids on the Slope as well.

Brother E

In 3..2..1... LETS DANCE! SEE YA SPACE COWBOY

TCE

What did you make of the theme song?

Redemption

Good hiding place. Also distracted the old men enough with her bazoogas to drink some of the alcohol while "pregnant".

Daniel Gonzalez

So obviously I love Cowboy Bebop but speaking of the animation Sunrise aka Studio Gundam (and they also do that one idol show ) does some great work here and really throughout as you'll see

Blue

For cowboy bebop you can watch the opening and ending, since they have no spoilers and the songs are great.

When you consider that besides our own moon, Mars is the closest celestial body to Earth. Which means it would've been the first settled when we colonized the solar system. Much like how some of the cities on the East Coast in America are expensive to live in. (Looking at you New York). So basically Mars is the New York or LA of the Bebop universe. If you look at it that way Aasimov's girlfriend (we never do learn her name do we?) is an example of the classic trope of the girl who wants to make it big in the big city. Unfortunately for her she chose the wrong guy to take her there.

Chris

Spirit Detective Curtis arc lasted awhile, excited to start the Space Cowboy Curtis arc! Nothing is better to me than 90's hand drawn animation, it really does seem to stand the test of time (besides the 4:3)

Timelink

So the journey with Cowboy Bebop begins! I love this anime! The music, animation, characters and stories are just fantastic! I have a feeling you're going to love it Curtis!

Agreed. As polished as modern day anime is, I can't help but always feel like the old school styles in Akira, Ghost in the Shell, etc. just look better.

Soulley

I havent watched cowboy bepop so im excited to join this journey with curtis 😀

Preet

this is gonna be an awesome journey!

TheMilkalator

this is one of those great shows where you can watch it at various points in your life and take completely different things out of it each time

John Johnson

I think you are going to really like this show.

you did a good job remembering a name of the bad guy, I couldnt remember something like that when I finish an episode, give you credit for it lol I guess I am much worse with names.

Anonymous

Please please PLEASE put the OP/ED in the reaction! One of the best OP/EDs in all of anime and I never get tired of listening to them!

Heavenly Demon

Great show Great reaction glad you like it, the music and Voice actors is great, and also yea it was sad for both of them, both the guy and girl where only trying to do was get to mars you will see more eps like this where are the people really bad guys.. just trying to crave a slice for them selfs...

James L

Cowboy Bebop is actually directed by the same guy who directed Samurai Champloo .

Liesmith

Cowboy Bebop is a slice of life show, just like Nichijou.

Steven Fechter

One of my favorite things about this show was how he travels all around like a true nomad bounty hunter. I like how this lil story world builds what life is like in mexico in the future. Also love the zero G smoking. That made me want a cigg and I dont smoke.

You can't understand this anime at 💯 if you don't watch/react to the ending ( most important the lyrics)

Same. I would sneak downstairs after everyone was asleep on weeknights to watch rurouni kenshin and bebop

SilversLyfe

I would puff on a cigar watching this anime. Goes great with the music and the cowboy/almost gangster feel to the whole thing

It looks like the video doesn't exist anymore, and I can't find it in the downloads page
