Hey, Gang...

For some reason, my Vimeo account has been suspended. I have NO idea what's going on, and I'm hoping it was simply an error.

Fear not, even if they've come up with some bizarre reason for doing this, I'll get the vids uploaded elsewhere.

Stay tuned to this thread for details. I'll keep updating immediately as I have more info.

Those videos are private, there is no way someone can report them unless someone manually copyrighted them.

What'll happen to all the previously uploaded videos? If your Vimeo account has been eradicated, that'll also mean all of your reaction videos will be permanently gone, won't it? Perhaps I am incorrect, and I hope I am.

Mega/Google Drive are good ways to upload. It will cost for storage though. I can't think of any other free hosting sites off the top of my head but I'm sure they exist. You'll find a new site to upload easy enough. What I'm worried about is all the videos you will lose. I always went to go back and watch the HxH and Once Peice reactions. And I'm sure other people have shows they want to watch your reactions too but haven't till now. It sucks but it can't be helped. As long as you can keep making new vidos.

something similar happened 7 months ago with your mha videos on vimeo, you said it was their automated flagging system, could it be that again?

That's what I get for putting off the end of HxH lol. Honestly though, losing your backlog would be a huge loss. I understand you're working hard on it, so is there anything we can do? Like flood Vimeo's Twitter feed to get this higher on their radar?

Thank you, TCE, I don't think there's much that can be done right at the moment... Typically, Vimeo has been pretty quick about getting back to us with support, so I'm hoping we'll know more real soon. :-)

Okay, I just got the first response back from Vimeo: "Hi Curtis, Thanks for writing and sorry for the trouble! I'm assigning your case to a member of our Trust & Safety team who can better assist you with this. You'll hear back from us again shortly. Thanks for your patience!"

Okay, this is the email they sent me now: "Thank you for reaching out about this and sorry for the confusion! Your account was terminated for violating Vimeo's Terms of Service (https://vimeo.com/terms). Vimeo does not allow you to upload videos ripped from TV, movies, or anywhere else. The golden rule of Vimeo is that you are only permitted to upload videos that you created. Just having the permission to upload (public domain, or fair use) does not mean you created it. We wish you the best of luck in finding a hosting platform better suited to your needs."

It bears noting that I only signed up with Vimeo because their terms at the time specifically stated that they recognize Fair Use... Don't despair; we will get this all worked out. As a matter of fact, watch for a post here very soon with a link to an unlisted Live Stream where we can all discuss this.... Then I will post further about what we're going to do.
