On the one hand I get that she wanted her independence. On the other hand it's not like Jet was abusive and intimidated her into doing everything his way. He just wanted to protect her and do what he thought was best for her. Is it a healthy way to have a relationship? Probably not, and that's most likely why it fell apart.
