Two points mid episode. Firstly, not all the assassinations in kyoto were necessarily of bad guys. It is just a city with a history of important people being murdered there. Secondly, Karma is always snapped.

That book is just the best macguffin in anime

That whole segment made me think of Rurouni Kenshin. Definitely a show that should be watched at some point :D

I would have liked to see those guys try to have fun with Irina-sensei 😂 Also, did that guy Nagisa and others bring to the warehouse beaten up remind anyone else of Kuwabara?

Sakamoto Ryoma was a samurai and politician who fought against the Japanese feudal government shortly after the end of Japan's 200 year period of isolation. His platform included the institution of democracy, the restoration of the Japanese Emperor (as opposed to the Shogunate, the Japanese military), the abolishment of feudalism and the industrialization of Japan. He was assassinated at an inn in Kyoto in 1867. The crime was laid at the feet of the Shinsengumi a special police force created by the Shogunate. The Shinsengumi's leader would be later be executed on the charge of ordering the assassination. It later turned out to be another pro-shogunate police force called the Mimawarigumi. Just a little history about the memorial they look at, that prompted your "my boy Sakamoto" comment.

This series builds so well that I still have never watched the finale, feelsbadman.

Also as another spectrum victim, I didn't know if you were more upset about spectrum or the constant doubt of the guidebook!
