Only Jotaro's voice actor could voice someone as manly as Erwin - he has absolutely no fucks to give. This episode cemented him as my favourite character in the show along with Levi

I think the most important thing to take from this episode is when Bertholdt said, “Who the hell would want to kill people by their own choice”. Lol gotta love attack on titan and their half answered shit that poses more questions and foreshadowing.

Erwin is a madlad and a true leader. He's my personal fav character in AOT! Armin mentions something like "those who can't abandon anything, can't change anything". In this episode Erwin sacrifices his arm and puts his life on the line, while on the other hand Armin sacrifices a part of his humanity by playing dirty mind tricks. Love the story telling!

This is actually why I always disliked Mikasas character. She's so obsessed with Eren that she never questions anything and just does things. At least most of the others have the sense to ask why. and she also just neglects everyone else on her team. Even though she's well aware Eren would rather she focused on protecting others. Luckily some of these complaints go away in the next season cause it actually makes her character interesting given later circumstances but still in seasons 1 and 2 I found her annoying

I absolutely love Erwin, he truly puts his money (and life) where his mouth is. He says that anyone and everyone is expendable when it comes to retrieving Eren, including himself. Such a fantastic moment.

Erwin is a certified badass. Gets his arm chomped off and still tells his peeps to keep going and swoops in for the key save. Armin displayed some ferocious cunning here as well. His mind is his blade.
