While it's tragic about Mao's childhood, he was too far gone now to be able to be saved.

That guy is a Cockroach, I always hated that guy!

Ultra Power

Mao’s voice actor is amazing, portraying the levels of childishness and insanity brewing within his mind.

Ahopiyo

Mao is a tragic character.

Tyler

Mao's an interesting guy, easy to dislike, but I also empathized with being driven literally insane by all the voices you couldn't get out of your head. Desperately trying to drown them out with C.C.'s voice.

LelouchXC2.....I ship it like FedEx.

PKKite

Lelouch was truthful in saying C2 was cruel. We see now Mao was a literal child when C2 bound the contract on him. Hearing all those voices would make anyone mad but especially a child. But C2 acting like a mother/lover figure to him always coddling him (he has the voice clips for a reason) but then abandoning him when he wasn't able to fulfill the contract fast enough for her. He even has the speech of a childlike person. Mao was a child experiment for C2 what was thrown aside when he was broken like a toy left in the street rather than bare minimum thrown in the garbage.

That was a good reaction lol you were all wtf at him shooting her repeatedly and I was all ha wait till I'll make you compact! (I believe in the sub the words chosen are "I'll make you Travel Sized!) come on Mao she isnt a bottle of mouthwash lol Though cruel history or not she could use my mouthwash in the morning if you get my drift lol Something hot and steamy between us. like a large sausage stuffed crust from pizza hut lol

Harold Haddick

So, funny story about that titty shot. The animators, as you can expect, devoted so much energy to ensuring the beauty of the boobies that they overlooked that she was supposed to have been shot in the stomach. So Ohgi magically healed a gutshot with the power of removing her clothes. Truly a man among men.

C.C.'s backstory hasn't been revealed yet, so I'll be vague about my thoughts here, but... I feel like people forget sometimes that C.C. isn't entirely cold and logical and emotionless like she presents herself to be. I've always believed her contract with Mao started out with good intentions. I think she related to his circumstances and wanted to do right by him... at least up until the end goal, which she realized at a point that he was too far gone to ever fulfill. I don't think her 'cruelty' was abandoning him out of petty revenge. Her request to try and talk him down at the end is proof enough to me that she does STILL care about him. I think C.C. leaving Mao alive when she broke off their contract was just a matter of her not being able to bring herself to kill him, which would have been the kinder thing in this case.

Jeremiah

We have to hate Mao because he's insane and attacking the protagonist... but we should hate or dislike C.C. too because she's the monster who broke him... she preyed on a Child broke his mind became his lover/mother then abandoned him selfishly... Truly tragic...

Zero: Hey Oghi what's up? Oghi: I found a naked chick in a dumpster! Naked Chick: I don't remember being naked. Oghi: Her memory's kind of fuzzy. Naked Chick: Oh my god, it's so cold in here, my nipples could cut through diamonds. Oghi: I gotta go!!!
