Although, I'm not sure that Zoro is seeing the cuteness!... And Brook has dropped into a big role to fill!

"Annoying, but cute" - That sums up Perona well.

This officially ends the Amazon Lily arc, onwards to the next! A personal favourite of mine!

ngl if i woke up in the same circumstances as zoro, id fall instantly in love with bisky. i think she's cute and all but those vibes in that specific moment...

Johnny Kiehn

Fun fact: Perona is actually the most popular female One Piece character in Japan... over Nico Robin.

“Hail Satan, Hail Satan!” “Yohohoho?? 😅”

you've probably forgot about this since it's way back in Alabasta, but Ace refers to whitebeard as oldman or father, he doesn't mean literal biological father, he's worried because his execution is riling the whitebeard pirates and the government to go to war with each other

GoldArthur

I have kinda shipped Zoro and Perona ever since this. They seem to have some chemistry.

Brian Williams

Did you notice that G8 Commander Jonathan was one of the officers shown arriving at Marineford even though he's a filler character. :p

Anonymous

Yeah Whitebeard he refers to everybody on his crew as "his sons" and they all call him "pops" or "father". Also when you saw the navy people getting off there ships one of them was Captain T Bone "the ship cutter" who Zoro fought back between water 7 and enies lobby. And another was Commander Jonathan from the G-8 filler arc. couple of throwbacks for ya:)

Schmul Sjifris

Oyashi basically means "old man" in the capacity "my old man" often. But I think it can mean just old man or uncle or whatever as well? Perhaps. Either way, Ace did mean father though he wasnt referring to Garp.

Schmul Sjifris

Rejoice peasant! You have been given the supreme privilage and joy of being Perona-samas slave! You better be greatful for that divine honor! Many a men would give up their limbs to have a girl that pretty boss them around! Its a turn on🙄

Daniel Gonzalez

Bisky? From hunterxhunter nice I didn't realize these shows had a crossover

Miasimon

I think it's pretty neat how some of the Straw Hats are in places that match their real world nationalities. If anyone's curious, Oda confirmed where the Straw Hats would be from if they were from the real world: Luffy: Brazil Zoro: Japan Nami: Sweden Usopp: South Africa Sanji: France Chopper: Canada Robin: Russia Franky: USA Brook: Austria

DarkRaven

If you think Ace saying Father there is confusing just wait for a few parts coming up everything will be crazy.

Nate D.

im actually unsure why ace says "father" everyone on whitebeards crew specifically calls him "pops" so I really dont know, no spoilers please

Jake from SF

Not that it matters much but Oyaji (which is what Ace used here) is an informal way of saying father. So, an English equivalent would be "old man" or "pops". Otōsan is the formal way of saying "father".

DarkRaven

I love the part where brook says may I see your panties and all of the guys do it as well

CrossZ

I love Perona. Her design really appeals to the part of me thats always liked spooky and gothic stuff. Plus she's so cute! But I always want to spell her name like "Persona"

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂

They all call him the same thing, its just a matter of how the subtitles choose to translate it, its still the same word though, "Oyaji". If he was saying "father" in the formal way it would be "Otosan" but he says Oyaji

Avery

As well as Hina from the end of Alabasta, among others
