Poor Marco already has a lot to deal with being the 1st commander and the first thing to injury Whitebeard on the battlefield is “friendly” fire. At least Crocodile made his intentions clear when he attacked Whitebeard but using someone’s trust in order to get as close as possible isn’t that respectable.
