To say that Whitebeard is pissed off would be the understatement of the decade!

So wanna know something cool? There is actually a difference between the anime and manga. When Whitebeard loses his stache in the anime he only loses his stache but in the manga he loses a good chunk of his face. I'm gonna DM you a photo on twitter that shows the difference, my @ is @ChaosNoahV so if you see that that's me

Here’s the manga panel: https://imgur.com/a/77SLtK3 Regardless Whitebeard got stabbed by swords, gunshots, a cannonball to the face and lost half a face. It don’t matter, cuz that motherfucker going to still beat your ass!

Olorado

When you have 2 giant holes in your chest and still kick ass, you know youre badass

Anonymous

You're right Whitebeard isn't just a legend, he was the 'Pirate King who didn't want to be Pirate King' of this era.

Anonymous

To think that even with half his face blown off he still fucked up hella marines and akainu

Rebirth419

It was at this moment Akainu knew HE FUCKED UP

Duke

The most satisfying beatdown in all of anime for me. I don't know why.

V_VMat

If there is anyone in the Marineford who could actually kill Akainu, it's probably Garp, or Whitebeard. The two other admirals and Sengoku are options too. Maybe Mihawk also..

Gigamac24

I think it was stated that Akainu's DF was stated to have specifically the most "offensive power" and yeah I would have to agree

Harold Haddick

Curits during this arc: 'Does Whitebeard have enough left?' followed immediately by 'It's safe to say Whitebeard is done fucking around.'

Jimbob

Whitebeard, the nearly 80 year old man who is essentially on life support, had a heart attack in the middle of this war (when he stumbled right before luffy used conquerors haki), got stabbed clean through the chest, shot and stabbed the entire time by regular marine grunts, took a full attack from aokiji and shot/pierced by kizaru’s light beams, two gaping wholes in his chest by akainu’s magma fist (the same magma fist that just killed ace within seconds with 1 blow), and a solid third of his face completely melted off.... yet STILL produces enough power to start sinking an entire island, while kicking the dogshit out of that magma brat. The title “worlds strongest man” is seriously an understatement

To think that Roger was stronger and that Garp and Roger used to get into scuffles all the time. When Garp said he would kill Akainu he wasnt joking

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂

Im pretty sure someone may have mentioned this in one of the live streams, but that scene where Akainu blew off part Whitebeard's mustache was censored. In the manga, he also took off a good portion of the side of his head

Tyler

One of the most satisfying ass whoopings ever.

George

Hate Black Beard

A.W

Marco is such a cool character: "If we let him die, it will be the Whitebeard Pirates' greatest shame!"

Miasimon

Fun fact: If not for Ace being held on the platform, this war would have been 1, maybe 2 episodes long. Whitebeard could have EASILY just sunk the entire fuckin island without leaving the comfort of his seat on his ship. But because he had to rescue Ace, he had to hold back the entire time. With Ace gone... well there's no reason to hold back.

MrPapes

Maybe a mundane observation, but I sometimes forget how much of a difference there is in the scale of some characters. The part where whitebeard lifts akainu like a child had me laughing for a second. Akainu and the admirals are like what, 7 or 8 feet tall? Then you have this mountain of a man who’s more like 20 feet tall. THEN if that weren’t enough you have San Juan Wolf who’s something like 800 feet tall. Just nuts😂

DarkRaven

cant wait for the WTF moment coming up

Whitebeard's beat down of Akainu is one of my favourite moment in the whole series. It's not only deeply satisfying considering what Akainu just did but it shows you what a monster even the old, terminally ill and mortally wounded Whitebeard was.

Gabriel Phipps

White beard has to be the most badass old man I’ve ever seen. Also I wish Akainu had a move called Krakatoa.

GG17

Curtis over here looking like he about to start a Twitter trend #killmagma

Ali6B

Love Luffy's reaction to losing his brother. Shonen characters lose their best friend or loved one and all of a sudden they become monsters who can't be stopped... Luffy literally broke down and was overcome with despair.

I'm waiting for the nuclear devil fruit user and his ultimate move Bomu Bomu no HIROSHIMAAAAA

GoldArthur

I got no words for this one. Just too perfect.

I was thinking about this too, Garp could easily have snuck up behind and killed him, but in a face to face confrontation I think akainu would still edge him out, white beard or Mihawk are probably the best matchups, maybe the light admiral, lets not discuss much more for spoiler reasons

Nate D.
>>40335367

Yes! Oda was discussing why magma beat fire and why ace couldn’t have won, and he said it was the highest overall offensive power

Nate D.

The chills when white beard drops his naginata behind white beard, man my second favorite moment of one piece, first one coming up a bit later

The Abyssal Drink

i might be behind but I must say that i made a bomb ass burger stuffed with bacon and cheese the size of a baby's head and then I got sad watching this episode, so while I'm choking up and holding back my tears i'm moaning because of how good the burger was.
