Not only is a baseball anime AWESOME, but I already really like our protagonist and his decision here is a tough and fascinating one!

Never seen this anime maybe I should check it out

Other great baseball anime. One Outs - A more adult baseball anime aka more Seinen genre than Shonen. The main character is basically not in it for the game and its about the dirty part of pitching and the game as a whole. Big Windup! - About a middle school team who has to learn to work together at the start to stop a losing streak that the MC feels is his fault and gains self esteem foe himself. Major- You watch a kid at age 9 strive to be a baseball player like his dad was and reach the majors. You watch him age up as the 6 show seasons go by. A sequel series Major 2nd following a new character is currently running and the anime started in 2018 and the second season started this year. Personally I really like One Outs for being a more adult baseball series and Major for being unique for following a character his whole career and not just stopping at the end of a school year. Big Windup is just popular so I included it.

Kamui

I wish he would also react to Major

Brother E

great anime choice, its very popular in Japan. Curtis will enjoy this one

Ablaise

really bad anime, if you're gonna watch a baseball anime, watch Major

Huge surprise, and great anime. This was actually my personal runner up for anime I wanted to sponsor, mainly because of its length. This is such a great show and just like with haikyu the sports/baseball aspect makes it super relatable

I think you’d really enjoy it actually! It has some similarities to haikyu in concept (naturally) and just like in haikyu the hype moments get you so amped (speaking of if u are currently watching haikyu then I’d like to dm u about it because this last episode was so hype omfg

I've never seen this one before, but I enjoy the energy! My favorite sports anime are Run with the Wind, and Battery. One is about track and I no idea I could enjoy an anime about running pft.

Yea, I immediately got a very good feeling of familiarity and comfort with this one. 😊

i would have rated over Haikyuu

Great reaction! I was surprised to hear that you were an avid baseball fan and have not watched any baseball anime. ill probably sponsor 1 or 2 more episodes and then maybe some One Outs afterward.

Holy shit! Daiya! Super happy to see this too. I am keeping up with the manga right now. This series is long, but super fun. As much as I love Haikyu I like this one more because I played baseball in little league and I was a catcher. Sadly, I didn't stay playing as a catcher once we moved away from the pitching machine. I don't remember why, but seeing how much thought the catcher puts into the game makes my nostalgic.

Fun fact about baseball in Japanese High Schools, the players are required to shave their heads. Somewhat like the way Buddhist monks do. The practice is meant to encourage a sort of uniformity, encouraging stronger teamwork. The theory is you don't get big egos showing off through their hair, and thus thinking they're better than anyone else. Given that this is an Anime though, they've gotta make all the characters stand out. Though maybe not maybe not as brightly coloured as most. Also The Natural was a great movie, I saw it recently on Netflix.
