Man, so many cool fights in the future, can't wait till he gets to the Hawk match.

I’m sure someone has mentioned it at some point or will, but Ippo’s name literally means “first step”.

No kidding. Man I wish they would announce season 4 too, there are so many good fights still in the manga that I would kill to see animated

WHOLESOME DEUS

Absolutely my favorite anime of all time

Hagler vs Hearns is one of my all time favorites. The VHS knockout videos are so nostalgic - growing up, I recorded so many boxing matches and documentaries/highlights from like ESPN classic and rewatched them so many times. The struggles before YouTube 🤣

The Gimpster 101

Hagler vs Hearns is the fight where the man with an Anvil for a chin went up against a guy who had a Shotgun for a right hand. A YouTube channel called The Modern Martial Artist done a breakdown of that fight, definitely a recommended watch for those who like fighting vids.

Dude I just found his channel recently and it is a treasure. Not enough videos tho! 😖

Takamura is a cool dude.... when he isn't kicking you in the balls that is :P Let Ippo's training commence!

It's a shame there are no legal streaming sources for the early seasons of the show and even the dvds are hard to find. Luckily, there is a new bluray release of the first series coming out in 2021. Hopefully, if sales are good enough, they'll release the rest of the series as well.

We're gonna be here a while and if you're already liking it this much, you're gonna love every step of the way.

The Gimpster 101

Oh ya and it’s around another 65 episodes until LA-LA-PA-LOOOZAAA

THE GOOSH!

I’m really enjoying the immersive feel! I find myself reflecting on my early days at the boxing gym! 😊

Takamura is extremely similar to you in many ways. I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy his exploits ;)

IzzO

Yessss let's fucking go

As much as my face scrunched when I read the phrase "nostalgia juices". It is the prefect term to what I'm feeling after watching this for the now 8th time.

Garlic

Man I've been waiting years for this.

Chris

Ah, Hajime no Ippo. Gotta be one of the all time great series. If you look at it in terms of just how many chapters the manga has, it makes One Piece look like a medium length series.
