It will be awkward trying to explain to people in the future of how he ate his soul mate (who he knew for about 1 day) right after she died. Taking the phrase "loved ones live on inside of us" a bit too literally there heh.

See this is the problem with fortune telling, prophecies, soothsaying, oracular powers and other forms of predicting the future in fiction. The phrasing is always such vague, poetic bullshit. You get shown the one you're destined to be with forever, they mean the person you're going to eat. Instead of your soulmate. You ask if you'll win if you go to war, they tell you there'll be a victory.
