This little town made such an immediate impact, it's really sad to see Tenma and Dieter having to move on!

"Your momma still makes your share of goulash and I eat it up boi! And It was delicious! Nothing else like it son!" -Dr. Schumann the savage xD I may or may not have taken some liberties here lol

One of my favorite parts of this show is how attached Urasawa was able to make me to something in 22 minutes

When you brought up The Incredible Hulk it made me wonder if Urasawa had ever seen the show and taken inspiration from it. There was a point during the 70s and 80s early in the days of Anime being introduced to the West. Where Americans would trade VHS tapes of American TV shows like Charlie's Angels, the Dukes of Hazzard and The Waltons for VHS' of Anime like Gundam. The Incredible Hulk is about the right era for it. So it's a possibility.

It definitely has that same vibe. It would be cool if that was the actual inspiration. 😊

It's funny you mention the Hulk show because I've always associated the two. I wonder if anyone's set Tenma walking away from a place to the Lonely Man theme from that show.
