I should have figured that major problems would arise just by being in the vicinity of Wano!

Holy shit Curtis, you're now caught up like the rest of us to One Piece's current arc. I am SOOOOOOOOO excited for you to get into the weeds of this arc as its a candidate for being my favorite arc of OP. Remember how Doffy had 2,000 followers? Big Mom had tens of thousands at her beck and call, but Kaido has HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS, many of which are Devil Fruit users. Luffy and the lads/lasses are in for the war of a lifetime. Let us hope that the Straw Hats, Heart Pirates, Mink Tribe, and Samurai can pull off defeating he who is known as "The Strongest Living Creature" who's name is Kaido.

Welcome to Wano, Enjoy your stay 😁

I appreciate your sense of excitement and am right there with you, but assuming you're caught up and also read the manga(without spoiling anything) kaido doesn't have anything close to 100,000 pirates under him

I absolutely love Wano! And the visuals and music right from the first episode are so good!! Especially when the visuals are like an old painting.

Hey Curtis just remember that Wano is based off of Feudal Era Japan, so they are isolated from the rest of the world and do not receive any outside news.

Preet

And that's the end of one piece, luffy died by whirlpool LOL. Also im so pysched for wano, the music, the animation, the writing, it's all A tier stuff.

The Abyssal Drink

I don't know what the instrument is called, but the octopus was making a typical sound heard in pretty much anything related to feudal japan. I'd say you've heard it a lot back when watching naruto and the music in this episode featured it too. It's such a fun sound especially when paired with a yo.

I believe it's a Tsuzumi. They're used in the music for Kabuki plays, which explains it's presence here. It gets paired with the yo sound because that's something called a kakegoe also used in Kabuki.

And so it begins. We're finally in Wano ladies and gentlemen. We've come so far.

Hi, I'm new here, I don't know if Curtis reacted to One Piece openings. But, I'd love to see that happen if possible.

The team pulled out all the stops for this arc. It has felt like production quality shot through the roof for it.

Tyler

I cracked up with the octopus and how long it took everybody to notice it sitting there.
