These people, specifically Toko, being unable to cry and having to smile and laugh, is absolutely Hellish!

"My dad died" and then burst out laughing is so wrong for a little girl to react to. Now you know what is behind that always smiling girl and people lad. This honestly made my cry the first time watching it and increased my hatred for that fat fuck dough boy Wario wannabe orochi. He's my all time most hated character in one piece

Anonymous

Bro Orochi is the worse piece of shit, like the next episode mentioned Kaido used the SMILE for his soldiers, but Orochi uses them so he can find entertainment in the Ebisu Town people suffering hunger and have them always smiling to give off the illusion that he is a great ruler. Orochi is nothing but a bully and when people like Yasuie and Komurasaki step up he becomes a big pussy and has them killed off. Fuck this guy, I hate him more than any other character in anime. He needs the worse death imaginable and then needs to be revived so they can repeat the torture multiple times.

Mr. A

The way the SMILE fruit was incorporated in the story is insane. I never thought about it but it’s been since Punk Hazard with Caesar and we never would’ve guessed that it would cause something as horrible as this. In my mind at least I always just considered them as use for military power

ChaosKing

Just here to pray to Goda 🙏 for his ability to make me a 29 year old blood boil to the point where I had to go on a run to relieve my anger 😂😂😂

While what's been done cannot be changed, that we know of, we must thank Law, Franky and the Tontattas for destroying the smile factories!

THE GOOSH!

Yea, I had always had the feeling that there was something sinister behind all the inappropriate smiles and laughter... Fuck Orochi!

SuperiorSpiderBoy

Okay whoever decided that Yokozuna and Ashura Doji should both be fat with pink hair did that specifically to fuck with you Curtis.

Dandy

How wonderful, play up the smiling and laughing as a 'we won't let bad luck keep us down!' type deal for the poor people of Ebisu Town and then hit us with the 'they're literally fucking cursed' kick to the nuts. Thanks, Oda.

DevilJynx

Orochi can have his little giggle, but its Yasuie who's getting the last laugh. He gave The Kozuki Rebellion a clean slate to start over and got to mock Orochi to his face as he died. Orochi could be put through the 9 circles of Hell, 7 Hells of Westeros, The Shadow Realm, thrown into the void, and fed to Cthulu's maw and still I would not say that Orochi has suffered enough for all the lives he's both taken and ruined. Orochi is not a villain who just needs his ass kicked, he's a vile and cowardly tyrant that needs to be removed from the world of the living. There is no redemption for a little shit like him.

Nezu Mikey

Giving me some Batman Joker vibes here...

Jake from SF

What's insane to me is that the smile fruits were first hinted at before the war when Doffy was telling the slave auction dude about the war and saying how human trafficking is old news now it's all about the smiles. That first came out in 2008. And here we are with this chapter first release in 2019 almost exactly 11 years later.. to be able to pull off something like that over such a long time is such great writing and that's putting it mildly.

Preet

All my homies hate Orochi.

Just wanted to make sure that you know because you keep calling him yokozuna. Ashura Doji/Shutenmaru and the pink-haired yokozuna that Luffy slapped the fuck out of are not the same person.
