Apparently, this pussy was hesitant about disembowelment, so he got a more direct route to the next life! 😂

Don't know if you've ever seen pictures of the inside of the barracks at Nazi concentration camps. But where the Dwarves were quartered is a dead ringer for them. Hannibal promises the young Elf Gaul. Which was a region during Roman times that was located primarily in what we think of as modern day France. Hannibal marched through both Spain and Gaul on his way to Rome. And defeated a number of Roman armies along the way. While bringing a number of Spanish and Gaulish tribes that had been previously conquered by the Romans to his side as allies. What happened with the Commander can be chalked up to cultural differences. In Japanese warfare, it was considered dishonourable to surrender or otherwise lose a battle. Committing seppuku or ritual suicide by disembowelment was seen as a way to maintain one's honour despite losing. It was also often a condition on treaties between Japanese warlords. The commander would kill himself and his enemy would guarantee the safety of the men under his command as well as his wife and children. Orte clearly is more like Europe, where if someone surrendered in a hopeless situation. No one would blame them, they might be taken as a prisoner of war or as a hostage in order to exchange for the winner's own prisoners. The concept of ritual suicide would have been unheard of.

That means we just witnessed some violent crash courses in cultural differences! 😄
