This was a nice advancement in courage for Kenichi, but damn, Shigure really stole the show!

Unfortunate that the anime only covered about 1/3 of the manga, the best Shigure scenes happen later. The author raises both power level of fights and the fanservice as the series progresses.

There were an additional 11 OVA episodes covering some of the later arcs. Most of them are up on YouTube but I don't think they ever got an official release.

Oh yeah in addition to her fishnets Shigure also wears chest wrappings wish I remembered where I'd left off in the manga I'd gotten decently far

Shigure is great,if only kenichi wasn't neglectful of her as a master of his by distancing himself from weapons of any sort

If you've seen the anime and ovas and remember them well then you can basically just start reading around chapter 198 and not be too confused, its what I did when I lost my place. Or you can look at the storyarches section on the wiki and go through them till they sound unfamiliar

*4th (anime goes up to about chapter 150, manga is 583). Also they skipped a lot of content from those 150 chapters so probably less than a 4th all in all. So yeah, its really sad that we're not gonna get the rest of this glorious series adapted😭 Oh right! Maybe you thought of the OVAs too (which I just forgot)! Yeah, with those it should be about a 3rd.

Yeah, Goku is pretty cool, I guess...but has he ever suplexed a shark? Lol

Charlie baker

I swear Hayato is basically the hulk in a robe

I also love how menacingly intense the masters are with trying to help kenichi grow lol

I have 1 major problem here. Sharks dont do that. If great whites, like these definitely were, are very VERY hungry they may attack a human (though that means pretty much anything else that they can eat is dead and you would be able to see that in the lack of life in the water) and if they are that hungry then they will be alone as they are already loners and especially so when they are hungry.
