Having only the warmest of memories of someone is most definitely always reason for suspicion!

A fucking PHENOMENAL episode (imo), and I don't care if I didn't spell that right. It checks all the boxes for a Rick and Morty episode.

How could anyone think Mr Poppy Butthole was fake, outrageous!

Chandler LaDeau

Hell yes, my favorite episode! The subtlety of Mr. Poopy Butthole's inclusion is actually genius. They put him in all the shots of the opening credits, which at the time makes you think it's a clever gag about the parasite inserting itself into those memories. But later, when it's revealed that the parasites can only create positive memories, it becomes clear that Mr. Butthole was real because the opening credits is exclusively bad things happening to people, but at that point most people will have forgotten that little gag and still be on Beth's side thinking that he's fake right up until he gets shot.

There's a clip of Rick & Morty in Japanese with Mr Poopy Butthole. Japanese Mr Poopy Butthole has an even more fitting voice. Even better and funnier is Rick thanking him as he leaves out the Mr. "Arigatou Poopy Battohoru"

Jameson Moore

If you go back two episodes right after Morty kills fart, we can see Rick putting some glowing rocks in the tru k and you can see the brai parasites on them, you can also see them on the rocks he throws away.

I love the little line rick gives during the after credits scene: "I did something similar once, but on a planetary scale." That has to be one hell of a story.

Dasher

I consider this episode to be the point where the show really takes off, going from great to amazing

Man this was a weird game of Among Us. Edit: "I'm sorry you don't have any unpleasant memories of me" Jeez that hit me harder this time than when I first watched this episode.

I have some sympathy for Beth at the end lol she just shot their family friend thinking he was a parasite, and almost killed him. I don't blame her for reaching for the alcohol 😂 She has the same vice as Rick when she's feeling down

Yup, seeing her slugging that wine definitely gave a “handed down through the generations” vibe! 😄

It gets worse when we remember that she had no bad memories of him. I am not sure i have anyone where i dont atleast have 1 bad memory.
