It's rare for me to be at a loss for words, but I don't even have any idea what to say about this!

the way that Aki's cursed sword was portrayed was so cool. the mouth counting down with each slash and the monster appearing at the end. i never get tired of it

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen an anime pull off these stunts. I had the same thought as you as I was watching this at work I audibly said what the fuck just happened.

Amazing episode but it contains one of my few complaints about the show. Himenos death I feel like was rushed. They start to give us a bit of character development with her in the beginning of the episode and then 10 mins later she was dead, I feel it could have been more impact full with at least another episode with her to explore her character a bit more.

Our Denji got carried home drunk as a minor and still decided to save his first time for someone special to him. I respect it tbh. also, painsaw man now with Himeno dying

Agreed. But it's nice that she played her role in showing what it means to be a devil hunter and losing her partners constantly/suddenly IMO. I also appreciated how Himeno died with parts of her body vanishing one piece at a time. And the fact that she was only managed to stall things enough to save Aki was a little sad ngl.
