So far, I'm a big fan of No Mercy Percy's activities! It's gonna be really interesting, seeing how his sister being alive affects him!

After the door incident (where Scanlan did indeed get wounded trying to open it) there were many jokes that all the Briarwoods needed to beat Vox Machina was a ton more doors in between them, as Vox MAchina would never survive getting through them all. Percy has the names of the people responsible for his family's downfall inscribed on 5 of the 6 chambers of his pepperbox pistol. Percy named his rifle Bad News, because "nothing travels faster".

Lachlan Ferrand

The reason nobody acts afraid of Percys pistols at first is because he is the inventor of guns in the world, so no enemies realise the danger that it poses to them. Hence why Stonefell just charged straight at Percy and then was confused as to where his hammer head went.

Grog's "I. Will Fucking Murder. EVERYONE" is one of my favorite voice acting scenes in the entire show, he's probably my favorite character overall honestly

Phillip Ribbink

When Percy says "I want you to know you were the one I was least looking forward to." It doesn't mean Percy was sad about killing Stonefell. It meant he was at the bottom of his hit list. Meaning he had targets he was looking forward to much more.

Does this show improve from this point through season two? I’m really not digging the writing, but not all shows are for all people, just don’t want to drop it if it improves a bit

You shouldn't watch a show here that you haven't already seen. An episode or two to see if it's worth picking up, fine, but Curtis has said before, ad nauseum, to support the official before watching him. As for will it get better? If you don't like it now, you probably won't like it later, but your tastes are your own and no one can make that distinction for you.

I personally find that it does get better and better as it goes, but i also believe it was great as soon as it started, so it's up to you to decide. Also yea, as others have said, watch a show on your own before watching it here, seeing a show through the prism of an old man reacting to it and talking over some lines isn't a great way to experience something.
