Fun perks of basing something off a dnd campaign is shit can go zero to 100 for no reason other then bad roll and dungeon master decision heh

The belt Grog got is the Belt of Dwarvenkind, it gives you the benefits of being a dwarf (you are tougher, resistant to poison and can see better in the dark) and it has a 50% chance of growing a beard on the person wearing it each day. Grog loves this because his race (Goliaths) can't normally grow any hair on their heads (including facial hair). Also, trapfinding is one of the few skills Barbarians (Grog's class) is actually good at. In game, they are also good at disarming traps, usually done by triggering them and just tanking the damage because they're just that tough heh.

If and when we ever do another clip reaction stream on youtube, i need to remember to send you the moment Vex got hit in the campaign. Percy was being too hasty and didn't properly check for traps or magic, he managed a saving throw, but Vex and Trinket didn't. She took over 50 points of necrotic damage, which brought her below 0 health. The look on their DMs face when her player failed the throw, and hers when she realized Vex is for all intents and purposes, very dead, is priceless.

So a little background on how Vex and Vax came to be. Their players, Liam O'Brien and Laura Bailey share a birthday. So they decided they'd play a pair of twins when they created the characters. They also decided to play half-elves, which in D&D come about in two ways. Your resident human bard has a fling with an elven princess that your Dungeon Master threw in your path. A human and an elf love each other very much. Or two half-elves love each other very much. In their case, they were the bastard children of an Elf Noble and a Human Commoner. So yeah...that's why their father is such a dick.

The Abyssal Drink

So it's understood, in the flashback with Vex and Vax's father the father said distilled because he is a full blooded elf while Vex and Vax are both half elves. Kinda of a bastard child type thing.

The other 2 went past the room, probably because they missed the trigger hidden under a dead enemy.

It is worth mentioning that when you are fucking around with the body of a champion of the goddess of death, you should expect some decently powerful traps.
