I didn't think this whole thing was going to be handled peacefully! It certainly looks as if war has been declared now!

the princess and her advisor in blue seem like good people, it's just that one scumbag with the beard. I do really like this series, I need to start getting the manga for it eventually to see the full thing finally, the artwork looks pretty nice as well.

It is worth remembering that the Koga are quite clearly meant to be a stand in for the Mongols. A nomadic people who built the biggest empire the world had ever seen, that has straight up happened once in history.

Baba wouldnt have died if you didnt set that death flag Curtis. I promise you that this is the first reaction to the show where that happened. You really need to be careful with your powers.

Expanding empires are best done when you *don't* kill the people you're expanding towards, tends to breed a lil thing called 'contempt', i guess the stache fucker never paid attention to that class. Still, Baba wasn't wrong, they can either resist the empire or join them, but they cannot win a war, even with Aladdin (and idk if they'd be willing to rely on him), its not a choice that can be made as the alternative of war equals suicide

At the very least it costs a ton of ressources if you attack the people you are moving towards. For Baba, the alternative is to resist enough that it is more costly to take them over than it is worth to have them... But then again, that only works if the enemy cares about the ressources or locations you have.

Yep, stopped before Europe by the Frontline pols and fins and in the south by the byzantines. In the middle east by the Mamelukes. They controlled all the way east to the ocean. And all the way south to right before the Vietnam area.
