Dunya (the girl who turned into the Djinn) wasn't pretending to be Cassim or anything, that was just Alibaba having flashbacks from when Cassim also stabbed himself in order to transform himself. Alibaba basically had ptsd from seeing another Black Djinn transformation.

Dunya is basically Alibaba had he not managed to save Balbadd, really goes to show how little it would've taken for him to travel a way darker path. On another note, how much you betting that the same people responsible for Judar being kidnapped and Cassim being corrupted are behind what happened to Dunyas kingdom as well? We seem to be running into a bit of a trend here
