i'm writing my master's thesis right now and this is a big part of it! i'm comparing how the experiences of workers in the gig economy compare to the employee-directed discourses promoted by platforms in the gig economy (like recruitment websites, reward schemes, etc), and the disparity between the platforms' discourse on flexibility and the degree to which employees actually value flexibility (and whether "true" flexibility actually exists in the first place) is wild. thanks for making these videos, they've been a big help in my research!
