Unless I'm forgetting something I'm fairly sure Emilia is actually one of the few people close to Subaru that hasn't ever killed or betrayed him. Rem and Ram both killed him in seperate loops. Beatrice let him die to the dog curse the first mansion loop without bothering to help and even Otto pushed him off his carriage to save himself from the whale (understandable, but still). Puck I think has the record though, killing him a whole 3 times (he was the one doing the freezy stuff in the mansion, then beheading him then freezing and crushing him).

I read that Subaru didn't ask Echidna about tips on saving Rem cos in the LN (cut from the anime) she mentioned having being dead for 400 years she has no idea what's happened out in the world since. So I guess from that dialogue, Subaru assumed she wouldn't know about the Archbishops and have any useful knowledge to save Rem.

She was, she made a comment along the lines of that has nothing to do with Betty I suppose as he was heading to bed (and as shown in later loops she can sense the curse just by proximity).

I really love how non-perfect this confession was. A real relationship is being able to speak your mind with each other, argue over things, and still love each other regardless. It could have easily stopped after the first time Subaru said he loved her, but I appreciate that they went even further and had them get everything out in the open and affirmed that even with all of that stuff, Subaru still loves her.
