I really wish endeavor and the rest of the family would leave Dabi alone, let him have some peace and not be surrounded by the people he hates. Dabi only gets a few minutes of consciousness a day and endeavor is forcing him to spend those minutes with him, if Dabi asked to see them then sure, but that’s not how it’s presented, it’s shown like this is one of the first few times he’s woken up. Endeavor I get you are trying to atone but why respect Natsus choice to be separate and not Dabis. Is Dabi supposed to feel better that you aren’t a hero anymore when he’s burnt inside and out, on his death bed ? Dabis response was perfect, calling Endeavor a coward, because he is, he can’t let things lie,and live with the fact he helped turn his eldest son into this and that son hates his guts. I’m super happy they had natsu stick to his guns and tell endeavor this is the last they will meet, it also shows a lot of growth on his side that he even told his father he was getting married, which he had no obligation to do. Admittedly this is very harsh, but endeavor did some harsh shit to his family, so sugarcoating it only does a disservice to everyone involved. Of course I can’t be in the authors mind, so I’m not sure what he envisioned that scene imprinting on the viewers, but it was FAR from heartwarming, the whole time I was just thinking “leave this poor kid alone, you have done enough”
