1. Taboo only triggers when talking about Return by Death. He can talk about other worlds and such all he wants, it's just no one understands what the hell he's talking about. 2. The observation deck is on the 4th floor, same floor of the Green Room, which is the level that Shaula said she didn't go higher than. (Reminder that the floors are numbered in reverse order, so 5th floor is ground floor. 4th floor is just way high up already) Edit: Also, lots and lots of people had the "awww, fuck no!" reaction when this chapter came out way back in the day, so you're in good company.

The most insane twist possible twist that I've held onto as a web novel reader is finally here! Finally getting to see others reacting to this absolute nuke of a bombshell is just too perfect. And now, for the third time, with the first being "from Zero" and the second being the end of season 2, I can say for the last time... "WELCOME, TO THE END OF THE PROLOGUE!" To be clear, though... I *revile* amnesia plotlines. Like time travel, they are almost never done right, and the payoff is almost never worth it. But, well... we've seen Re:Zero be such an exception for time travel, soooooo... yeah. Does inspire some faith in the writing. ^^ But anyways! Time to go cackle maniacally until the next!

Look, Tappai has done such an amazing job up til now and hasn't failed us yet. If he is choosing to go into an amnesia arc, I have faith he has something cooking with it that brings something new to the table, and it will be glorious in hindsight. This is the same guy that produced such rich content for Season 1 and 2. There ain't no way he falls off here. Especially considering LN readers have said this is the best quality arc of the series thus far. So yeeah.. I trust the process. Show me what you got, Tappai. It was a ballsey plot twist tho ngl..

Also that's a good point about The Witch of Envy not grabbing his heart when he said out loud he's from another world. There was ONE other time Subaru said out loud, directly to Emilia to imply he's from another world, and the Witch of Envy silenced him. It was during his crashout conversation to Emilia in Arc 3 (Episode 13). To get the specific dialogue that he said and the context of why he said it - he was trying to explain to Emilia why he tries so hard to help her. "Maybe you don't understand, but please listen to me! Its the truth! You were the... when I first came to this world you were the.." *Heart gets grabbed and he is forced to stop* Also Gluttony definitely can just take memories, remember? Its what Lye did to Crusch.
