This podcast is a special one because instead of purely audio, it also features my mug--if that's what you're into. Maybe I'll alternate video/audio-only, or stick purely to audio. Let me know what you think!

Today we're catching up about ARDEN HIGH, the Graphic novel series I am working on and just announced on social media yesterday! I apologize if my thoughts are a little all over the place in this video...let's attribute that to my excitement about the project/the fact that I have been holding in so much for a while now/just general stress.

How is it working on Procreate with the graphic novel? Is it difficult? I would love to get into doing graphic novels, but the layer limit on Procreate destroys me every time lol

So far I’m not having any trouble! I am just in the sketching phase right now but we’ll see as time goes on. Each page is a new document for me—it’s not all on one document. And as far as panels/line art/colors I think I only use 10-15 layers max.

JAMIE, I NEED A COPY OF THIS SIGNED AND KISSED BY YOU AS SOON AS YOU'RE FINISHED!!! (and i am ready to spend all my fortune, if it comes down to it!) I am truly so happy for you, you're my biggest inspiration and the fact that you are working on such amazing projects, gives my 17 year old self hope that one day I'll be too. Sorry this is just a fangirling scream that I had to let out >__< I wish you the best of luck, and I'm so happy that Disney is finally dipping their toes in some gay shit!

You making the playlists and your passion for these characters reminds me of Gabriel Picolo who illustrates graphic novels of modern day Raven and Beast Boy! He does the exact same thing and draws them all the time haha!

AW Nene, I'm happy you like the new format I'm trying out! Yes give those sketches another look see, they're very ~revealing~ if you know the plot at all hehehe. Definitely trying to rebalance/recalibrate right now, but it's all a part of the first-year-in-the-industry feeling. :'-)
