If you haven't heard it enough already, happy new year!
Sometimes reflecting on the past year and looking to the future year can be a little daunting. Sometimes you don't want to look down either of those holes--especially if some Big Life Events happened recently. I can certainly understand. Today I decided to be a little brave and do some reflecting and a little thinking (imagine that!) about what the next year might hold.
This one gets a little deeper, so I hope you don't mind hearing some very raw thoughts. Maybe it will help you, too.

And the list of things I mentioned that I've been enjoying/consuming/appreciating lately:
- Replaying Portal and Portal 2 (this was my LIFE my everything my world when I was a teen on tumblr, so to replay it is making me feel many, many things).
- Warioware: Get It Together
- Mario Party for the switch
- Pokemon Violet
- watching Emily play Katamari
- also watching Emily replay Going Under (very cool indie game)
- rediscovering the pikuniku soundtrack
- the Miitopia soundtrack
- Mario Paint soundtrack
- finding all my old flipnotes (as well as all those I was inspired by) and rewatching those (and cracking up losing my mind with my roommates while watching them)
- actively using tumblr again (here's mine)
- reading a very long nbc Hannibal fanfiction --I've never been a big fanfiction reader, so to finally be reading a novel-length one for the first time in years, I feel some sense of deep excitement
- having over-the-head headphones! this is new to me and I feel so much cooler!!
- working on puzzles
- the library
- living with two of my best friends, and just feeling so thankful to be around them. They are such comforting and wonderful people, and I don't think I'd be in as good of a place if it was not for their presence in this house.
As always, I thank you for sticking around. I'm looking forward to seeing what this year holds for us.
