Labradog

That was quite the engineering project in which you were involved. How long did that take to complete?

bujo7

I loved it! Thank you for uploading it! Schmike asks was my favorite part.

Matti Thun

For future videos, you can press space once when crafting recources and it crafts until you press it again. So you don´t have to constantly hold the crafting button.

This series is the whole reason i got a patreon subscription, i had been watching your content for a while and stumbled across the first episode

Brad

This was awesome. I'm looking forward to you using the production numbers to balance everything. You can do proper engineering rather than tiny tweaks! :D

Psycho

honestly a sick patreon series would be you just bantering about your engineering projects with google street view, that was surprisingly hella entertaining content 😂😅

Jeremy G

Love it! Worth every penny of the subscription

Chief Chaos Engineer

Awesome! Great content, both the game and Schmike asks part! Keep it up!

ScientistNate

So, which is probably greater: the number of people that have seen your pond or the number who have seen your most popular YouTube upload?

Lodrik Bardic

glad to see ya giving satisfactory a go :) as a long time satisfactory player and bein in the subreddit and watching the developer streams for a long time, i noticed that "we" always had one question bothering us to no end.... "RCE bridge review when?" many people have built bridges over the past years, and i think that it would be a freakin awesome thing if you could go through yotube and/or the satisfactory subreddit to some extent and grab some of those bridges and give them a RCE brand review. anyway, glad to see ya playin some satisfactory! love ya content a lot! ya rock :)

Lucas

Thanks Matt!

Luis Tellez

fantastic game, looking forward to see how far into it he gets with the chaos he has going on

Ted

Love the Schmike Asks bit! It's always fun when you drop real world engineering knowledge in. It's what really makes it feel like a RCE video. Well, that and strongest shape popping up unexpectedly, but the former is more fun, imho.

Dragdot

I enjoyed the Schmike Asks! It was interesting to get to see a project you had worked on! I also just enjoyed the video generally! Thank you for the enjoyable video!

Catching up on these, and loving them! I love seeing how different people approach Satisfactory, it's always fascinating for me -- and if it's someone whose videos I enjoy a lot, all the better! Thank you and Schmike (and moral support Paddy) for making these, they're tons of fun. Ugh, no paragraphs, pardon. I love the Schmike Asks part as a lot of the game is stumbling around looking for resources/getting murdered by many of the planet's inhabitants/collecting things by hand; I absolutely loved all of the information about the tram lines and drainage in different situations! I thought your answer might have been the bypass road at Stonehenge, but honestly such a huge line of track is fantastic. I'd love to know how long it took! Part of why I enjoy things like this so much is that there are suggested goals and set resources, but otherwise people are free to do what they want. I'm a game dev in a large studio and I work with the Playtesters when we hit that milestone, and the actions (or inactions) of the playtesters actually impact a huge part of the game. They have more say than the devs in some situations! So seeing how people behave so differently while playing the same game is one of my favourite things. Way back on SC5, Splinter Cell Conviction, the Playtesters actually had us design the next game (Blacklist, SC6) to allow for three very different styles of gameplay, with plenty of room in between to mix it up. Ghost, Panther and Tank, heh. We had some missions that emphasized the different playstyles, but they were optional to allow for the game to progress if you just couldn't master Ghost style (no kills, no alerts, no shooting out lights, in and out without anyone aware otherwise). Also things like, oh, it being a cover-based shooter and people refusing to take cover despite our wonderful snap and slide cover mechanics XD. They're the reason that the game is still informing you, 4 hours in, that you should press B to take cover anytime you take damage. The way to get games to stop nannying you is to get us better playtesters -- volunteer, sign up, go, it's a fun experience where we feed and swag you and you have a lot of input into the final shape of the game. Despite us asking for average to above average skilled gamers, we usually get people who have played Candy Crush and maybe some Mario. It's a few hours, you get to see a lot of the studio and meet a lot of lead developers, there's lots of Q&A. You'll only be called on to playtest a game a few times a year, but we try to make it an experience and not just doing QA's job ;) It really isn't that, the game usually has a decent amount of polish, it's to set people loose and see what they do with things and the wild stuff they come up with :) So peace, love and enormous walls of text, and thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I've used that tram line to get to the Trafford Centre :D

So if this is part 2, where is part 1? Yes, I need to catch up :)
