Kanade's and Hibiki's holy chant to activate Gungnir are different, which is probably why you thought it changed. Hibiki's goes "Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron" while Kanade's went "Croitzal ronzell Gungnir zizzl." Also, not only does Chris' voice actress sing the ending, it's generally thought to be a character song for her. Knowing now that she was a victim of child sex trafficking the visuals in the ending are even more disturbing by some interpretations.
