Great reaction as always! So this episode we got lots of questions answered. FIS was America's relic research group, and the terrorist group Finé splintered off from them after the Nephilim incident, destroying their facility and stealing their relics and Symphogear. This is why Mom calls the soldiers "Our countrymen," they were an American special ops team sent to recapture the stolen technology.

To clarify, Dr. Ver and the group known as fine's plan is to stop the collision of the moon and the earth using the nephilim. The Americans know about the moon falling, but are concealing this information from the public and plan to secretly save themselves. Also remember F.I.S researched and developed relics for the US government, so them awakening the Nephilim years ago(and then deactivating it later when it grew out of control using Serena's superb song) is unrelated to the moon falling now. And yes Nastassja(mom) got crushed by the rubble while trying to save maria in the flashback.

Everyone has black pieces on their armour in standard mode , though it's apparently also reflected in their mental status (i.e. Whether they are currently in the hero or villain team for the developers ). But it's confirmed that the higher the comparability and the higher the output affect the colouration of the gears. Also chris' gears primary colour is red regardless of the shade, they can't go too light else it'll be pink and that's shirabe's primary colour as yellow-orange is gungnirs(more colour more power(with the exception of the white symphogear) ). Now there is one general exception to the rule and that is when a gear is in a berserk state, though it is also related to the wielders mental state.
