You both catch on so quickly! I’m loving this journey w/ you guys so far ❤️ you’re correct, that last bit where Chan helps Hyunjin up from the ground starts off the choreo to the next title track, Levanter. Also the random screams throughout the video before they say “meori apeuda” (my head hurts)” is IN. This is one of their BEST choreographies in my opinion, if you watch the performance video for this and their MBC 2019 Gayo Daejejeon performance of Side Effects, it’s crazy how they incorporate so many visuals to the lyrics. The ripple effects and chaos. It’s pure art 💯 lol also the back up dancers in black represent their shadows. Thank you for this reaction!!!

Yaaaasss it has finally come. Side Effects has so many elements that makes this such a great performance song. It has one of, if not, my favorite choreo and the creativity behind it is just genius. I can’t wait for you to react to the performance video because it’s so chaotically beautiful. During the calmer parts of the song, the dance is theatrical and there’s a lot of symbolism (great job to the back up dancers too) Then when the chorus hits, it’s so crazy, but not messy. It seems like the dance is just random arm throwing, but every move is calculated and controlled. Like a harmonious chaos (what an oxymoron) The ripples in this dance makes it seem like an acid trip, very fitting for the song. I could legit write a whole essay just on the dance lol. And I haven’t even gotten into the actual song yet. Honestly props to the boys for taking on such a different genre and having it as a title track. It was such a risky move but they absolutely killed it. Listening to it with headphones is insane but if you hear this live, that bass hits sooo hard. I haven’t been to a live concert but I can already tell just from fancams. Next song is gonna be Double Knot and all I’m gonna say is it’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥 If Side Effects wasn’t my favorite choreo, this could definitely take its place.

I'm really glad you appreciated it at first listen 😊 It's not the type of song people can usually like immediately. I think it's due to the fact that other than being a psytrance, it also incorporates a lot of dissonance in the music (if you noticed, the measure in the rap is different from the measure in the background, especially during Han's rap, I think) Still, these guys managed to slay it 💯 I really hope you'll react to the Official Performance video (I beg you, this is so grand) and the MBC performance in the future (if you want a halloween spin). I don't think you'll have a copyright problem on the performance video. But with the MBC one, it might be a little difficult to upload on YT sooo.... Anyway, thanks for the reaction!

Side Effects for me is just a pure art. The choreo is insaneee! Some people might say this is kinda 'noisy' type of songs, but I do appreciate you guys being respect about this song on your first listen. Honestly, I cannot wait to your reaction to SKZ storyline to see the connection they made in each songs. Side Effects live performances will bring you guys to the party kinda vibes for real! ok be in for a lil long comment oops ._. so idk if uve heard but side effects is a genre called psytrance or 'psychadelic trance' where they use jarring sounds and sudden screams to heighten the experience. the genre is something u gotta be super smart to make so props to 3racha. every single aspect tells a story. you could JUST have the instrumental, JUST the lyrics, JUST the voices, JUST the dance or visual and you would STILL feel the pent up tension and build up. listen again and this time feel each aspect and feel the tension and when they all let go at the end. its kinda crazy. also after levanter and double knot, i suggest you check out their highlight reel. it tells the story i think i said this already lmao. it holds a lot of clips from their trailers and teasers for each album so if u want check em out on ur own time or with album reviewing if u plan to do so. okok that was long oops thanks for reading baibai ._.

The full choreo for this song is probably one of, if not my favorite skz choreo. The first time I saw it in full was at their show, and they do this really freaking awesome bit during the bridge (going along with those incredible lyrics you pointed out) where they lift jisung and jeongin into the air and have them fall backwards, and then also carry hyunjin back. Idk how to explain it, but if you ever watch a live stage or the performance version mv, you'll see it! It's genuinely stunning, and it goes with the song and lyrics so damn well. Yay to another mv!! I've been loving the meme videos so much, but skz music will always be where it's at. Thank you for another video!

Side Effects is the song that made me stan Stray Kids. I was just amazed by the sound, I've never heard anything like this in kpop. And Felix's voice made me even more interested. You're right, even though it is different, you can still say it is Stray Kids :) And yeah, the choreo during the chorus looks like a good workout!

I don't know if someone already said it but this song actually made skz the first k-pop group ever to make a "psytrance" genre song; they basically revamped a dead genre!🥺💞 I'm so happy you loved it there was so many people hating on them saying they're just noise😳 also there are a few mvs you missed from other eras like get cool and awkward silence from i am WHO, their pre-debut songs, etc. i also recommend their skz-player projects!! they're such great songs omg and very emotional overall🥺🥺
