Are you ready for the essay lol: NCTs concept is one where their members are constantly moving/shifting units - NCT stands for neo culture technology - so their sub units change. Theres 21 members currently in NCT as a whole : NCT 127 has 9 current members with 1 former member who moved to their chinese sub unit WayV (which has 7 members). Another sub unit is NCT Dream (7 members) which is the 'teenager' sub unit - Mark (whos in NCT 127 and has been in NCT U) graduated from NCT Dream when he reached 19 (so 18 international age) but the company went back on that bc the fans liked the dream line up - so even though its the teenager unit theres no age limit anymore. NCT U has no set line up but their song 7th sense is insanely good. Mark and Haechan are in both NCT 127 and NCT Dream, so you have 7 (WayV) + 7 (Dream) + 9 (127) - 2 (Mark and Haechan in 127) = 21. They did the NCT 2018 MV with all 21 members which was cool ! Some of NCT - Ten (NCT U and WayV), Lucas (NVT U and WayV), Taeyong (NCT U and NCT 127) and Mark (hes in every NCT unit) are all members of SuperM too ! ... i think i got everything ...

In the simplest of explanations: NCT 127 - fixed unit (aka does not change) of 9 members NCT Dream - started as the "teenage unit" where members would "graduate" and move to different units when they turned 20. This year they changed it, and now the unit is fixed as the original 7 members. NCT U - Rotational unit. Members are picked from NCT as a whole for different songs based on who fits it best. Each song is a different combination of members. WayV - fixed Chinese unit with 7 members that does not really operate with the rest of NCT. I'm glad you liked this! NCT 127 is a pretty out-there group when it comes to their sound, so it's not for everyone! (Also, 2 of the rappers were in the SuperM mv you watched. The fast rapper you liked at 2:49 was the Todoroki guy, actually!)

Man I love NCT. They also have some great b-sides I could listen all day. And Mark, the black haired rapper with blonde strips, is considered by many to be the best SM rapper. The vocals are also very strong. I like that they experiment with music, they always surprise us with each comeback. My favorite title tracks are Superhuman and Fire Truck, maybe you can react to them. But react please to the other units, it’s worth it.

a previous person commented the main gist, to give a bit more info: NCT’s concept is to be unlimited. SM can add more members and create more units in the future. There are 4 current units (there have been 5 in total). There are currently a total of 21 members distributed across all units. -NCT U: debuted as the first NCT unit in 2016. Members switch up every comeback. -NCT 127: currently has 9 members promoting, member WinWin “left” to join WayV -NCT Dream: originally debuted with the idea of having an “under 20 squad”, and getting new younger members as the members reached 20 years old and joined other units. SM decided to make them a fixed unit recently though. -WayV: debuted the last of all the units, and is a Chinese subunit. They debuted with a Chinese cover of NCT 127’s “Regular”. WayV can’t really interact too publicly with NCT, because there are tense issues between Chinese and Korean entertainment industry, so they are under a separate Chinese label that’s owned by SM Ent. -NCT 2018: In 2018, ALL the members of all units came to join a big unit, and promoted that year all together, a total of 18 members. This unit only lasted that year, and this was before WayV was created.

P.S the guy you said has really dope hair is Nakamoto Yuta, he's the only Japanese member in all the units :)

I hope you digested the other comments well cuz I know it’s a lot😅 You will get around to it once you listen to more NCT and you’ll see the concept isn’t as complicated as it looks. NCT’s music tends to be more on the experimental side so newer fans sometimes have a hard time getting into their music, but I’m glad you enjoyed this one tho. I’ve also admittedly had to listen to their songs several times before I really got into them and appreciated their creativity. One thing I always LOVE about NCT songs are their heavenly R&B vocals. They always find a way to incorporate it, and the way it breaks down the song is everything. Very SM style. I’m gonna enjoy your journey with them if you do continue to listen to their music (Well I’ll follow any of your kpop journeys and enjoy them with you guys anyway lol)

Oh yay I love NCT! Glad to see y'all getting into more groups! There are so many talented artists in the scene. I know it probably won't be voted for because they are super underrated and underappreciated but I would love for y'all to check out a group called A.C.E, they just had a comeback with the song "Favorite Boys" and it's really good! They're such a talented, hard working group, I wish they would get more attention :c I love them so much, they are probably my favorite group right now for real, best boys.

If you’re gonna do more NCT reactions would recommend NCT U - Boss MV, and for another great SM Entertainment boy group definitely react to EXO - Monster or Love Shot or Growl. Many boy groups such as Stray Kids have done dance/performance covers on those EXO songs.

Oooh I love that you're getting into NCT now. It can be a little confusing at the start but it eventually gets easier 😅 This group also have incredibly stong & funny personalities in it - including many non-korean members. They have so much content on YT and I would definetly recommend looking at some of the fan made stuff like NCT Foreign line vs English/Korean language or NCT forgetting who they are 😂
