As much as I love AXZ, 9 is my least favorite episode. The pacing was off, they tried to fit too much into a 24 minute timeframe and have it work, Prelati was unnecessarily stupid and Tsubasa and Shirabe thought it was a victory when they actually killed off one of their enemies which is the absolute opposite of what Symphogear/Hibiki stands for. Instead of trying to "vaguely" connect the priest and shrine to Shirabe, they could have made the priest just Some Dude(tm) and have Tsubasa help Shirabe through her problems. That could have built up their specific Unison far better, imo. Prelati attacking Adam was fine but she really should have tried speaking to the girls. The enemy of my enemy and all that. At the same time, Prelati was clearly distressed and not in her right mind. Nice of Tsubasa to ask one time and then jump straight to "Ah well, let's explode her instead." Why are all of the episode 9s almost always the weakest ones? *frustrated noises* On positive notes: More Ogawa! Fuugetsu no Shissou is a beautiful song. Tsubasa taking Shirabe under her wing (no pun intended) is great. Giving us a glimpse of how Kirika and Shirabe met was something I've waited for since G. And as much as I don't like *how* they did it, knowing Shirabe's family is still alive in one form or another is comforting. At least one of the F.I.S. girls has that. It's all an up-way hype train ride from here on! Hope you're holding on to your butts!

To be fair, Prelati was pretty desperate. She'd just confirmed that Adam was going to betray them, and she couldn't communicate with her telepathically. Once Adam gains the Divine power, he'd be completely unstoppable, so her priority was to warn Saint Germain before the ritual started. Also, Cagliostro was killed by the Symphogear just a few days ago, so there's not way she's going to try to talk it out with them.

The real question is were her parents killed in a random car accident or did FIS kill them so they could abduct her? Based on how that organization operated, I'm gonna guess the latter.

Yep, Cag and Prelati were both men before. Now I wish Alchemy was real.... lol I agree with a comment above, this episode does seem rushed. I feel that trying to cram this episode into the allotted time space is why Prelati seemed so dumb here. They needed the most mindless choice she could make to justify the rushed episode. What I do like about this episode though is that its really a character growth episode. Tsubasa mentoring Shirabe there proves that Tsubasa herself grew a lot too. I'm just sad at how long it will be for you guys to reach ep12 still. lol

I agree totally with the first comment, yeah Prelati was dum but she had a reason for being that why but Tsubasa and Shirabe was maybe even more dummer in my view I know that they had thier reason for stopping Prelati but they where being stupid here also, Tsubasa gave up way to quckliy "okej lets kill her" they did´t need to kill her, If Hibiki was there she would´t kill her and they should know that. In some aspects I blame the geah´s even more then Prelati they where 2 against 1 and they used Ignite , It was an stupid episode on all fronts exept the Shirabe backstory

Yea Prelati and Cagliostro being former men was something you would know if you watched when this was airing and participated in the discussions as their brief background was released on the website. Which are very similar to the IRL versions. Cagliostro being a conman (that's why she said she doesn't want to lie anymore) and Prelati being an alchemist who revels in self indulgence (and now is more reserved, except in combat).
