Hxh & AoT my favorite anime all time, after u finish watched both of this masterpiece, other anime will be boring. TOGASHI IS TOO OP, THATS WHY HE GOT NERF WITH HIS ILNESS

Omg this is also one of my favorite episode of all time. This arc is really a masterpiece. Everything from this ep is perfect to me. Glad you enjoyed it as well. This is the beginning! Exciting stuff! Let's go!

HxH is one of my favorite fictional properties (probably in my top five Manga) but that’s kinda of a silly thing to say lol. There’s a lot more peaks for Im to experience this is merely one of them 🙂 no need to write off other anime because this one is great I am sure even Togashi wouldn’t appreciate that

Welcome to the Palace Invasion. Can't believe we're here! I could talk about this episode forever, it's so densely packed.

Mykel

Super excited to see you reach this point! Really enjoyed the reaction. I didn't even notice the changing mountains in the Netero flashback before! I need to go rewatch and look at that. I love looking back at the conversation of "expecting the unexpected" in the past 2 episodes. It feels like a lot of the emphasis towards the audience is on Komugi being unknown to the squad, but what can slip the viewer's mind is that there's the unknown of Netero's plan. One thing the squad assumes is that Pitou's En will be active and they can find her via it, but they couldn't expect their own ally causing the En turning off haha. I'd say the narrator is definitely very polarizing in the fandom, you're not alone, it's always a big discussion point. I have my issues with the narrator, though I do like it in some scenes, but I guess at the end of the day the animation studio was trying to target wide + young audience.

To me it's not just about the narrator being needed or not, it's about the vibe, it's what makes this show or specifically this arc feel different and authentic compared to other shows, personally I quite like it. And yeah this episode is just monumental, very memorable and I remember rewatching it many times, but the amazing thing is it's not even in my top 5 of the show... So much good stuff to come, so excited.

sonic

Somehow the discussion felt a bit rushed, could just be my perception tho

Your time perception is being altered watching a master at his craft

Simone Zucchetti

Great discussion as always. I’m just surprise you don’t speak about the fact that Netero was the only one fighting Zeno’s grandad and survive. I would love to hear your speculation on that. We meet zeno grandad with Illumi when he kill the mafia dons.

Adding to this - He wasn’t shown in the 2011 adaptation. Only the manga and 1999 adaptation. Just a fun fact now that he’s been mentioned by Zeno.

Ah!! I was sure he was also in the 2011 adaptation! My fault, anyway will be cool ear his speculation on that. Thank you

One of the best episode 100%. It's one of those were everyone was excited to see your reaction ever since you started the anime hahah. Dragon dive, Coolest entrance ever, Netero's backstory and just the invasion starting in general, makes it so peakkk. Visually this episode is stunning too. Unfortunately we don't know who worked on this episode as the storyboard artist or director...

Miladin Dimov

One of the greatest episodes in HxH. Netero's backstory is such a masterpiece for me, I really enjoyed it.
