Let’s gooooo

Have you considered using Patreons native video while you wait for Vimeo? from my experience there’s never been any issues with copyright flagging

Miss Mewiththat

Hope the issue with vimeo gets resolved quickly

BrokenArrow

Yeah, unfortunately Netero's original voice actor, Ichirou Nagai, passed away so he was replaced from this episode onwards.. It's a bummer but I really hope it won't affect your enjoyment of the rest of the show too much.

rahka

Thank you! Lets hope that Vimeo will contact you soon regarding to the issue.

Patreons native player is terrible, it constantly buffers/freezes, makes the whole browser lag, changes quality randomly and has no manual quality settings. I strongly prefer youtube for timer reactions.

Jonas

Honestly the new Netero voice actor didn't really bother me, I didn't even notice it at first when I was watching, very sad the original voice actor passed away, he was iconic

elliot

Can't help but feel the Goku vs Vegeta vibes with that fight setting. I'm so hyped to see this play out!

SaIado

Interesting that you pointed out that Pouf is so averse to changes, which is particularly significant given that he is 'born' as a butterfly. This means he has no further room for "development", as he cannot undergo metamorphosis, he's already in his final form from the start.

Tortoise Of Legends

What is a newborn if not the ultimate rookie? The ant needs to be crushed, and we only know one man capable of crushing a rookie for good... It's a shame about Netero's voice actor passing away. I think the new one (Banjo Ginga) gives a good performance, but agreed that it's noticably different in tone to Ichiro Nagai's version which has a lot more playfulness to it.

Zach

Goes to show how terrible I am with recognizing Japanese voices lmao. I never realized they even changed Netero's VA until you pointed it out.

ozan

Rip netero va but the takeover is great imo, it has that raspy experienced grandad type aura to it

Kon

I can't even distinguish between both of them for me is the same voice but it's not like Netero has plenty of lines.

Aflo
>>154756762

Lmao you’re so right, pretty clear this is the reason they brought in Tonpa last moment to crush the king with his insane nen.

Horizon xkuni

I think the new VA for netero is pretty good. didnt even notice the change on first watch. Reminds me of the uncle iroh change in ATLA, i think both VA's did their best to honor the legacy of their characters

FILMBuFF

lol now hold on folks, the voice and delivery is noticeably different. I don’t think I’ve clocked something impossible 😁 I’m not saying it’s a bad performance, but it just wasn’t what I’m used to, it was jarring and didn’t quite feel like the chairman. You’ll hear more of my thoughts in the post episode portion. Also, this was all before I found out that the original VA passed away.

No it’s an understandable reaction. When the episode aired at the time i remember alot of people had similar experience. I myself have gotten used to it because of how many times I’ve rewatched this arc but I totally get how jarring it is on a first time watch.

Eduardo Juliani

The reason why this time did more damage: she used 4 crystals

BrokenArrow
>>154762815

Didn't mean to come off like that with my comment or anything, it's totally understandable to be jarred by that! it's like when Chopper's voice changed during Water 7, just hard to overlook.

Wolf Hunter

I'm really hype for the discussion. :D

Aflo

Hey Im, how far ahead of you right now episode wise?

nabeel
>>154940184

My guess based off absolutely nothing besides a gut feeling is ~2-3 episodes ahead

The longer the wait the sweeter the reward. :D He has been having some trouble with vimeo, so that is probably the reason. Things happen, and even if the schedule is sometimes unstable. This is one of the fairest and most honest run patreons i have ever been part of. Honestly as someone who has been watching lm since he started with aot. I am happy we are getting any content at all. I could never have dreamt that we would be in the middle of the chimera ant arc. I remember when the first poll came out and HxH was part of the possibilty i was so happy. And then lm removed HxH from the poll because a lot of creators on youtube had problems with copyright claims. I honestly thought that was it. HxH is of the table. But look at where we are now. And I always was scared if lm would like the ant arc. But now to see how much he loves it. It is amazing. srry for the long rant😁

oerwhat

Don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I hope you get the opportunity to check out 'Look Back' if you haven't already. Beautiful film

Waiting to hear back from them. Triple drop or quadruple drop, whatever’s needed to catch up the schedule, it’ll be good to go the moment I get upload access again.

Monaf
>>155386926

Kon

A long time eh...🧔🏿‍♀️ I'll wait. As long as it takes.

nabeel

It’s better this way, I don’t want these reactions to end. Only 26 episodes to go 😭

Julius Roth
