Hey everyone

I’m going to go ahead and move Doctor Who 10x6 and Monster Ep 31 to next week as part of new February schedule.

February Schedule

Monday - HXH

Tuesday - Doctor Who

Thursday - HXH

Friday - Monster

These are the only scheduled Patreon releases. Anything else is a straight to YouTube thing, with Patreon stuff available at the time of release.

If you pledged in early January specifically for one of those two Series, then please drop me a DM and I’ll be more than happy to refund.

I love HXH, and I’ve had an incredible time covering it, but I’m really glad to finally have other stuff come back in as well. Exciting Month ahead.

Thank you ✌🏼

had been holding off on jumping into monster until you started up on it again so super excited!

Sorry to ask but have you ever watched Buffy the vampire slayer? I assume that you have but I kinda hoped not. I kept imagining you making deep dives and long discussions about this show and how great that would be 😭

My older cousin used to watch that when it was airing, so I remember watching an episode here and there 😄 I really hate to disappoint, but I can’t see that being covered on that channel. Between Live Action shows and Anime, The watchlist is staggering 😵 Hopefully there’s other stuff on the list that might be up your alley as well ✌🏼

Thank you for answering, I understand. It's a shame though, this show was such a defining turn in television history with some themes being studied in some unis over the decades, it is truly iconic and perfect for analyzing. I thought it would fit you well. Maybe in the far future? But yes you have so many other things to watch already, I'm sure there will be other things I like. Thank you 🥰

Aflo

I probably missed it but what’s the plans for arcane? Very excited to have you watch it, though I have some gripes lol

Ammar gayal

I have heard you once saying you ll read hxh manga after the anime is over, are you still planning on doing it ? If so is there a chance you ll release reactions to the manga ?

Cyonated

Is there any confirmation of at some point watching Severance? It’s perfect for this channel and is one of the best shows i’ve ever seen.

What will be replacing HxH?

Beyond a mere reaction, he has discussed the prospect of video reviews for each volume, commencing from the beginning once again. But he said he'd take a break with HxH after the reactions to the 2011 anime. I guess in the final video of episode 148, he'll talk about his future plans with HxH.

There will be a poll, shorter Anime options. Monster will take over again as the Longer Anime.

Arcane is a straight to YouTube thing without a schedule. I’ve been trying to integrate it, but haven’t been able to just yet. Hoping to cover 2 or 3 eps in February 👌🏼

FILMBuFF

Luca pretty much covered it 👌🏼 Reactions/read along to the manga are not happening, that’s just not my thing.

Similar to Arcane, been trying to integrate it. But haven’t been able to just yet. Definitely excited to bring it to the channel, it’s beginning to feel like when I finally started Dark.

I genuinely think Severance is (SO FAR) on that level, and I don’t say that lightly! Dark is king of the mystery box genre.

Ryan

Sorry if it has been said but what are your plans now for AOT, EVA, and Vinland?

FILMBuFF

AoT is not anytime soon, still rewatching that. Couldn’t quite release EVA and Vinland on YouTube this past month, hopefully February. All three of these are straight to YouTube releases, so they usually get left out in these Patreon only updates.

Awesome just making sure! Can’t wait to see ur analysis and appreciation for the art, because it’s seriously some of the best animation ever

Jay

Yeah it must be exciting to do something else than HxH on the channel, after almost a year hahah

Jeremy

Requesting Steins;Gate to be in that poll if it wasn't already going to be (provided 24eps is considered to be short enough ofc)

That’s a huge spoiler bro, you should remove the comment

K Condo
>>163139710

He’s likely seen it by this point, and I don’t think it’s too much of a spoiler. I do mean ep 134 though

haggy

Thanks for the update, glad to see other shows making a return. Looking forward to see you tackle Severance whenever you get the chance, it's been some of the most exciting television for me in the last few years - i really hope you'll be able to get by spoilerfree for this one

Colin Huckestein

He has specifically said he considers stuff like this spoilers, and doesn't like people to mention anything about specific episodes at all. There's a decent chance he's seen this episode already, but I'd still be more careful about it. Because he has been very clear that he does think this kind of thing is a spoiler.

Sloopgamer

Really can't wait for you going back to Monster. There is so much great stuff ahead there too. Also I wouldn't mind you doing only one anime at a time. Hope Monster can take on the double slot after HxH🙏

Yeah, it's still my favourite show along with Angel, live-action at least. It's definitely flawed and didn't age well in certain aspects, and its creator's allegations cast a bit of a shadow on his great works unfortunately. Some people really blew out of the proportions with the supposed connections sadly. Anyway, with all those flaws the highs of Buffy are so PEAK that it still holds on its own among the best TV even now. And there were a lot of those highs. I'd suggest Im to watch it on his own at least, it's definitely an iconic piece of art deserving of his attention, even if it's not in reaction format.

Slaaverin
>>163067780

I completely agree with you 👏🏻 it's my favorite show ever. That's just peak storytelling to this day especially for its age. I hope he can watch it too on his own, even if I would have liked to hear his opinions. The show still has an enthusiatic following for reactions on YT. Idk, it would be a shame to miss it in my opinion, it is so iconic and special. I will remain hopeful 🥰 maybe someday

Maybe Ping Pong the Animation for a really short one👀

KotBegemot
>>163083025

I request Madoka Magica. It's a true classic at this point, really short (12 eps + Movie) and it's the best way to introduce Im to SHAFT's unique and creative style.
